On February 19, 2024, at about 8:12 PM officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Treyway Ln in reference to a shooting. Updates stated there was an attempted home invasion and one person had been shot.

 Officers arrived and located a pregnant 22-year-old female with a single gunshot wound to her leg. She was immediately transported to a local hospital.

Officers also contacted the 19-year-old husband in the apartment.

Detectives with the Robbery Homicide Division were called out to assist.

During this time, the unborn child was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The male was transported to the main police station for interviewing.

After the interview the male was arrested and charged for Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Family Violence, and outstanding warrant.
