On April 4, 2025, Violent Crimes Traffic Unit contacted and arrested 31-year-old Gabriel Nava on a traffic stop at Horne Rd. and Crosstown Expy.
Officers observed Nava traveling north bound on Hwy 286 at a very high rate of speed, cutting through traffic recklessly and endangering other motorist on the roadway.
He was charged with reckless driving, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and open container. His vehicle was impounded.

Traffic Officers observed a black vehicle traveling north on Ocean drive in access speeds of 86 mph. The speed limit in that area of Ocean Dr. is 40mph. The vehicle continued accelerating even after passing a marked police car.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, 24-year-old Jacob Pinkston, was ultimately arrested for reckless driving and driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded.

Later that evening on April 5, 2025, at around 2:17 am, officers observed a vehicle traveling west bound on Hwy 358 over 100mph. The vehicle was observed driving cutting through lanes and passing other motorists while continuing to travel at this dangerous speed.
Officers were able to stop this vehicle and take the drive into custody for reckless driving.
22-year-old Jose Valadez-Delacruz was arrested, and his vehicle was impounded.
