On May 22, 2026, at 8:40 pm, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit observed several motorcycles, minibikes, and pocket bikes operating on a public roadway. The Officers conducted a traffic stop on the group for Application of Subchapter to Pocket Bikes or Minimotorbike (TTC 551.353) and various other traffic violations. In total, 9 pocket bikes, minibikes, and motorcycles were impounded, and the drivers were cited on scene.

The Corpus Christi Police Department has ramped up efforts to continue to address this quality-of-life issue within our community. We encourage our community to ensure that they are operating street legal vehicles and obey all traffic laws to continue to keep our streets safe.
