During the week of May 22- 31, 2026, the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 19 calls for service regarding the various types of bikes (pocket, mini, e-bikes) that are posing a quality-of-life concern in our community. 1 of these calls was a crash. 14 bikes were impounded, 12 citations were given, and 3 arrests were made within this week.

During the week of June 1- 7, 2026, the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 13 calls for service. 6 bikes were impounded and 4 citations and 1 warning were also given for different traffic violations.

CCPD will continue to address this issue in effort to keep our citizens and streets safe.
