Multi-State Manhunt Fugitive

On December 6, 2025, the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Gang Unit was notified by the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit about a violent individual that was possibly residing in the Corpus Christi area. The individual, Kevin Kistler (35), was also said to be affiliated with a violent prison gang. Kistler had 7 active warrants out of 4 different states.

The CCPD Gang Unit began their investigation and were able to locate Kistler in the 6300 block of S Padre Island Dr. Kistler was taken into custody for a warrant out of Delaware without issue. Kistler was also in possession of a stolen vehicle at the time of the arrest.

Holiday Initiative Arrest

On November 29, 2025, at 5:40 pm, The Corpus Christi Police Department received a call for a Theft in Progress in the 5000 block of S Padre Island Dr. As a part of the Department’s Holiday Initiative Plan, an Officer was already at the location. 

The Officer was able to locate a male subject matching the description in the area and still in possession of the stolen items. The Officer was able to work in conjunction with Loss Prevention at the location to positively identify the male. Paul Roman (62) was taken into custody for Theft Shoplifting (Class B Misdemeanor).

Officers will be assigned to various business areas throughout the city to help prevent crime. This initiative is a team effort, and we encourage residents to take extra precautions to reduce the risk of becoming victims of crime. As always, please stay safe and enjoy your holiday season.

Shooting-4600 Sharpsburg Rd.

On October 26, 2025 at 11:40 pm, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 4600 block of Sharpsburg Rd. in reference to a shooting. 

When Officers arrived, they located a 28 year old male with a gunshot wound and immediately began administering life saving measures until medics arrived. Multiple people were detained at the scene. 

CCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division was called to the scene due to the nature of the call. It was later determined that a disturbance occurred and a weapon was produced.

The male was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

This is an isolated incident and an active and ongoing investigation.

Missing Elderly Female

UPDATE:

Ernestine has been located safely.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is requesting your assistance in locating an elderly female missing from the area. Ernestine (Ernie) Rosas, age 86, was last seen walking at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the area of 7400 Spitfire Dr. Ernestine suffers from dementia.

Ernestine stands at a height of 5 feet 3 inches and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She was dressed in a black Miller Buccaneer t-shirt, black pants, black shoes with rhinestones, and glasses.

If you observe Ernestine or are aware of her current location, please promptly contact 911.

MISSING JUVENILE

UPDATE:

The juvenile has been located and is safe.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is looking for a missing juvenile. The juvenile was last seen around 4:00 pm in the 6600 block of McArdle Rd. 

The juvenile is described as a white male, approximately 4’11” tall, weighing 94 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. The juvenile was last seen wearing a black and red t-shirt, blue jean pants, and grey Nike shoes. 

If you see the juvenile or know his location please call 911 immediately.

First Felony Judgements in a Gambling Case in Recent History

The Corpus Christi Police Department Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division (NVID) Detectives executed a search warrant on August 29, 2024. This would be the second time that the Player’s Lounge had been raided in less than a year. The first raid occurred on January 11, 2024. In both cases, Detectives were able to establish the owner and manager for the location. 

The Player’s Lounge, located in a strip mall on the 3400 block of South Padre Island Drive, was the subject of a months-long investigation that uncovered evidence of ongoing illegal gambling activities. NVID Detectives, with assistance from CCPD Traffic Unit Officers and investigators from the Texas Comptroller’s Office, served the second warrant and seized a substantial amount of gambling equipment and more than $73,000 in cash.

Mark Pelaez (24) was identified as the Owner and he faced the following felony charges

First investigation – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity – State Jail Felony

Second Investigation  – Money Laundering >30K<150K – Third Degree Felony

                     – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity – State Jail Felony

Brandon Roe (25) was identified as the Manager and he faced the following felony charges

First Investigation    - Money Laundering >2500<30K – State Jail Felony

                    – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity – State Jail Felony 

Second Investigation  - Money Laundering >30K<150K – Third Degree Felony

                     – Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity – State Jail Felony

On September 25, 2025, both defendants agreed to a plea deal involving both cases. The Defendants pled guilty to all the above felony charges.  As part of the plea deal all the pending misdemeanor charges were dismissed. 

The Corpus Christi Police Department reminds the public that any game room offering cash payouts is operating illegally. Both patrons and operators of such establishments may face criminal prosecution.

NVID “Jane” Sting

On September 10, 2025, the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Narcotics Vice Investigations Division conducted a “Jane” sting in the areas of Port Ave/Ruth St, Agnes St/19th St, and the Leopard Corridor and San Diego Park.

Five women were taken into custody and interviewed by the Red Cord prior to being booked into CDC.

Lourdes Ibarra (54)- Prostitution w/3rd or more Convictions

UPDATE: Shooting-700 N Shoreline

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: On September 15, 2025, Robbery Homicide detectives were able to secure a Murder warrant in reference to the Shoreline Blvd shooting.

Officers in the Violent Crimes Unit were able to take Nathan Iruegas (23) into custody without incidence at a residence in the 3700 block of Lamont St.

Iruegas was transported to the City Detention Center for booking.

On September 15, 2025, the shooting victim succumbed to his injuries. This is still an active investigation, and Detectives are following up on leads.

ORIGINAL: On September 14, 2025, at 3:10 am, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of N Shoreline Blvd in reference to a shooting. 

When officers arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. Medics transported the male to a local hospital in critical condition. 

CCPD’s Criminal Investigation Division, Violent Crimes Unit, and Gang Unit responded to the scene to investigate. 

It was later determined that a disturbance occurred at the location and a weapon was then produced. 

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
