Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 3000 Antelope St. in reference to a stabbing with injuries. As officers arrived, 2 patrol units were fired upon from an unknown location. Officers drove through the threat area, exited their vehicles and began looking for the suspect. As officers were searching they observed a subject in a red shirt walking towards them with nothing in his hands. Officers contacted the subject, were able to determine he was the shooter and learned he dropped the weapon by the apartments. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Officers continued to investigate and located an apartment where another shooting occurred. Officers observed 2 females that were deceased from apparent  gunshots. The officers cleared the apartment for any other potential victims and secured it for the homicide detectives.

Officers arrested Larry Darnell Moore (5-26-1977) for Capital Murder and 2 counts of Attempted Capital Murder. The suspect was transported to the City Detention Center. At this time we do not have the ages of the of the 2 female victims. There were no officers injured and detectives are still investigating this crime. At 12:01 AM officers responded to the 4700 of Ayers in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived and observed a 28 year old male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Investigators were told that the victim and suspect got into a disturbance in the parking lot.

As the victim was driving away the suspect fired several shots into the vehicle striking the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. CCPD detectives are interviewing witnesses and are actively investigating the cities latest homicide.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this suspected thief. Officers responded and contacted the 78 year old female victim. She advised officers that she was looking at some vitamins in the pharmacy department and noticed her purse was missing. The victim looked for her purse and then contacted loss prevention personnel. They reviewed security footage and found the incident on video. The female suspect, wearing white or Khaki pants and a black shirt is observed taking the purse from the victims cart and then walking away.

Halloween, October 31, 2018, falls on a Wednesday Night. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day. Here are a few tips that hopefully will make your night a little safer.

Avoid trick-or-treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult. Have a designated meeting place in case your group gets separated.

Hold a flashlight while trick-or-treating to help you see and for others to see you. Wear reflective clothing while walking in dark areas.

If you are driving through a neighborhood, drive slowly and watch for kids. Sometimes they get distracted and might cross the road without looking.

Always WALK and don’t run from house to house. Look both ways before crossing the street and use crosswalks when possible.

Walk on sidewalks whenever possible, or on the far edge of the road facing traffic to stay safe.

Wear well-fitting masks, costumes, and shoes to avoid blocked vision, trips, and falls.

Enter homes only if you’re with a trusted adult. Only visit well-lit houses. Don’t stop at dark houses. Never accept rides from strangers.

If you see a house with the lights out and no Halloween decorations, chances are they may not participate in Halloween activities. Please respect their homes and wishes.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 700 Avondale Dr. in reference to a burglary. The officers contacted the victim who was out of town at the time of the burglary. The victim told officers that the suspect forced his way into his house and took a firearm, coins, liquor and cologne.  Video surveillance showed a young male, wearing a t-shirt and shorts, walking up to the residence.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this burglary suspect. Officers were called to the 200 block of Naples St. in reference to a burglary. Officers contacted the owner and she told officers that someone forced their way into the garage and took a bicycle. The owner was able to provide officers with a copy of the surveillance video. The video shows a thin suspect going to the rear of the residence. A short while later the same suspect is seen leaving with a bicycle.

The suspect is thin wearing loose fitting clothing and appears to have tattoos on the right forearm. Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying these three suspects that were involved in the theft of an ATM from the area of 900 Corn Products.

Patrol officers were called out to the area of 900 Corn Products Rd. in reference to a theft. Officers contacted the employee who saw the males enter the hotel through a side door. The suspects then went to the ATM, picked it up and carried it away. Police were provided surveillance video which captured the event. One male arrives in a white 4-door vehicle and enters the hotel. The other two male suspects arrive in a white and black Dodge Ram pickup with an extended cab and a headache rack. Those suspects entered the hotel and are seen carrying the ATM out, loading it into the truck and driving away.
