Incident: Capital Murder, Attempted Capital Murder

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 3000 Antelope St. in reference to a stabbing with injuries. As officers arrived, 2 patrol units were fired upon from an unknown location. Officers drove through the threat area, exited their vehicles and began looking for the suspect. As officers were searching they observed a subject in a red shirt walking towards them with nothing in his hands. Officers contacted the subject, were able to determine he was the shooter and learned he dropped the weapon by the apartments. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Officers continued to investigate and located an apartment where another shooting occurred. Officers observed 2 females that were deceased from apparent gunshots. The officers cleared the apartment for any other potential victims and secured it for the homicide detectives.
Officers arrested Larry Darnell Moore (5-26-1977) for Capital Murder and 2 counts of Attempted Capital Murder. The suspect was transported to the City Detention Center. At this time we do not have the ages of the of the 2 female victims. There were no officers injured and detectives are still investigating this crime. Patrol officers were called out to the area of 900 Corn Products Rd. in reference to a theft. Officers contacted the employee who saw the males enter the hotel through a side door. The suspects then went to the ATM, picked it up and carried it away. Police were provided surveillance video which captured the event. One male arrives in a white 4-door vehicle and enters the hotel. The other two male suspects arrive in a white and black Dodge Ram pickup with an extended cab and a headache rack. Those suspects entered the hotel and are seen carrying the ATM out, loading it into the truck and driving away.
