Patrol Report June 12, 2017

Offense: Theft of Service, Warrant of Arrest, Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia
Case Number: 1706110012

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 6773 SPID at the Wyatt Hotel for a theft not in progress. Officers arrived and contacted the manager and the 40 year old female suspect. The manager advised that the  suspect could not pay for her room charges and was about to leave when police arrived. The manager advised that the suspect checked in at an earlier time under a different name that was listed on a credit card. A little later the Hotel was contacted by the credit card holder and advised that she did not authorize the use of her card. The manager questioned the suspect who began to change her story about the use of the card and that is when the police were called. The responding officers found the suspect to have a warrant for parole violation (original charge of organized crime) out of Austin. Officers arrested Crystal Pancoast (09-01-1976) for the warrant and theft of service. Search incident to arrest officers located pipes, rolling papers, a syringe and 19 pills not belonging to the suspect in a prescription bottle. Officers also located checks and other financial information not belonging to the suspect. The officers were unable to contact any of the victims and turned the information over to the CCPD financial crimes unit. Crystal was transported to the City Detention Center.

Offense: Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 3600 Dalraida in reference to a disturbance in progress. The call stated that the suspect was hitting people with a bat and breaking vehicle windows. As the officer arrived in the area he was contacted by a citizen who stated that a suspect was going crazy and directed the officer to the area. The call was updated that a citizen was restraining the suspect. The officer arrived and observed a suspect holding the suspect on the ground. The suspect was taken into custody and placed in a unit while officers investigated.

Officers contacted a witness who advised that he kicked the 25 year old male out of his apartment because he had not paid him rent. The suspect left and came back later in a rage to gather his belongings. The suspect was cursing at the witness and then turned his rage on citizens walking up to the complex. A 18 year old female victim arrived at the complex and was confronted by the suspect. The suspect was carrying what looked like sticks and pointed at the victim. She turned and ran and stated she felt the suspect hit her in the rib cage. The suspect turned his attention to a 17 year old male striking him in the right wrist after he told the suspect to stop. The suspect then broke out windows to two cars before he was detained by a citizen. The suspect used a pool cue stick to strike the victims and break the vehicle windows. The victims were treated at the scene. Officers arrested Zachary Lee Murray (07-15-1991) for aggravated assault and criminal mischief. He was transported to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 400 of Mesquite St. in reference to a fight in progress with a weapon. Officers arrived and located the fight in a park in the area of 400 Schatzel. Officers observed a subject recording an argument between two men. The witness stated that the suspect in a white button down shirt was waving a knife at another subject. Offices reviewed the footage and it showed the suspect trying to cut the victim with the knife. The witness also stated that when the officers arrived he put the knife in his pocket.  Officers contacted the suspect and detained him. They located a knife in his right front pocket of his pants. The 75 year old male victim had a small cut to his right hand which was treat at the scene by medics. Officers arrested Alfred Muniz (10-02-1940) and transported him to the City Detention Center.

Offense:  Theft, Evading Arrest

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar in the 1500 block of S. Port in reference to a theft in progress. The call advised that 2 suspects fled the store with baskets full of merchandise. Officers checked the area and observed 2 males, matching the description,  walking in the 3300 block of Baldwin. One male took off running and the other was detained at the scene. Officers chased the other suspect and saw him run towards a grassy area near Cheyenne St. Officers checked the area and found the suspect lying face down in the grass with a Dollar General bag containing a lot of items from the store. The suspect was taken into custody and both suspects were taken back to the Dollar general. Officers reviewed video and it showed both subjects entering the store but only the suspect that took off running taking items from the store and placing them in a red bag. Officers arrested Michael Llamas (05-24-1969) and transported him to the City Detention Center. All of the property was returned to the store.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 9100 Agnes St. in reference to a disturbance with a weapon. As officers were en route the call was updated and advised that a shot was fired. The suspect was described as a female wearing a green shirt. Officers arrived and contacted the 56 year old female suspect outside the residence. Officers contacted the 61 year old female victim. She advised that she was doing her laundry and had asked her brother to help her. The victim stated that the suspect became angry and started yelling at her. The victims brother told the suspect to be quiet and leave her alone. The victim walked out of the room and heard a gun shot coming from the area of the living room. The victim went to the living room and observed the suspect holding a gun. The suspect told the victim “come over here so I can kill you too.” The victim left fearing for her safety and called the police. The victims brother left the scene prior to officers arriving. Officers observed a flat screen TV that was mounted on the wall to have a bullet hole in it. Officers located a hand gun on the sofa in the living room. Officers arrested Sandra Saenz (07-03-1960) and transported her to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this vehicle. Officers were called to the area of Nolford Place and Leopard Street in reference to a disturbance with weapons involved. Officers contacted the 40 year old female victim. She advised that she pulled into her driveway and noticed a white SUV, possibly a Saturn, parked on the side of her residence. The vehicle was occupied by 4 males and they were loading something into the back seat area. Once they noticed the victim they got into the car and sped away through the neighborhood. The victim followed the suspects through the neighborhood. When they were in the area of Round Rock a rear passenger fired 2-3 rounds at the victim. The victim was not hit and lost sight of the suspect vehicle in the area of IH 37 Southbound. The victim advised that an air compressor was taken from her garage.

Missing Elderly Person

Corpus Christi Police would like help from the public to locate a missing, elderly person.
Anthony Fromme was reported missing on May 22, 2017 and is described as suffering from Dementia.
Anthony was last seen in the area of the 2800 block of Archmont around 3:15 this afternoon. He left in a 2002 gold Ford Sport Trac LP HBX6643 and the family advised that he hasn’t driven in over a year. Anthony is described as a 71-year-old male who stands 6 feet 0 inches tall, approximately 230 pounds, with short grey hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a green polo shirt, khaki Magellan shorts, white tennis shoes, white socks and prescription glasses. Anthony left without taking his wallet or any form of identification.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer was flagged down by a crying 10 year old female. She was standing in the middle of the road beside a vehicle and told officers that the people she was with were smoking, vomiting and unable to talk. The officer went to the vehicle and observed a female in the front seat vomiting and apparently having a seizure. There was a male in the back seat vomiting and also having a seizure.  The car was still in drive and running. Officers had to enter the vehicle, press the brake and put the vehicle in park. Medics arrived and contacted both occupants. They were evaluated and cleared by medics. Because the two suspects were operating a vehicle with the child inside and both were apparently smoking synthetic, officers arrested Kendra Pollack (05-17-1990) and Hector Rodriguez Jr. (06-4-1990). Officers located a synthetic cannabis cigarette while doing a inventory of the vehicle. Both suspect were additionally charged and transported to the City Detention Center. The 10 year old was released to her step father. The case is also being forwarded to child protective services.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a arson call in the 4300 block of Cottage St. Officers arrived and contacted the 31 year old female victim. The victim advised that a suspect came knocking at her door. The suspect stated that she stole his ladders. She then stated that the suspect and another male poured gasoline all over her car and lit it on fire. The victim stated that suspect told her it was a good thing she answered the door because if she didn’t he would have lit the house on fire. The suspect left the scene in a suburban type vehicle. The victim was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect and that he was also holding a bat.

While officers were investigating, another call came in stating that the suspect vehicle was on the corner of Sunnybrook and Nesbitt. Officers went to the location to investigate. Officers arrived and located the suspect and a white GMC Yukon outside of the residence. While officers were conducting their investigation they observed a bat and several containers of gasoline in the back of the vehicle. The suspect was found to have a municipal court warrant. Officers attempted to arrest the suspect for his warrant and he started resisting striking one of the officers in the eye with his elbow. One officer deployed his TASER and they were able to get the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to 4444 Kostoryz and was positively identified as the suspect who set the car on fire. Officers arrested Arnold Angel Soto (09-21-1984) and transported him to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 900 Morgan in reference a female passed out in a grey Ford Taurus and vomiting on herself. Officers arrived and observed medics to be with the female suspect. The female suspect was the only occupant in the vehicle and in the drivers seat. The car was running and the female had her foot on the brake. Officers could detect what they believed to be the odor of Synthetic Cannabis coming from the vehicle. The suspect was incoherent and not responding to commands. Officers began to remove the female from the car. The suspect regained consciousness and began to struggle with officers and attempted to get back into her vehicle. Officers were attempting to put the suspects hands behind her back to handcuff her when she bit one of the officers on his hand.  The suspect was taken into custody and placed into a unit. The officer that was bit was wearing gloves and was treated at the scene by medics. Officers arrested Samantha Ann Molina (12-12-1982) and transported her to the City Detention Center.

Patrol Report May 18, 2017

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While License Suspended

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to Everhart and S. Staples in reference to a major accident. Officers arrived and observed that silver 2010 Toyota Yaris had rear ended a silver 2002 Toyota Sequoia that was stopped in traffic. Officers contacted and checked the welfare of everyone involved. Officers observed that the suspect vehicle was still running and in gear. Officers with the assistance of the fire department were able to put the vehicle in gear and turn the engine off. Officers contacted the 33 year old male suspect. Officers noticed that he had a blank stare and had difficult time following instructions. Officers developed probable cause to arrest Jason Anthony Prado (02-09-1984) for Driving While Intoxicated and he was found to be driving with a suspended license. He was transported to Spohn Shoreline to be medically cleared and then transported to the City Detention Center. The driver and passenger of the Toyota Sequoia were not injured in the accident.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 6700 Riding Wind Dr. in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers contacted the 31 year old female suspect across the street from her residence and the 39 year old male victim. Officers spoke to the victim and observed scratches to his face, beneath his eyes and on his forehead. The victim advised that he returned home after looking for his wife’s (suspect) phone. The two got into an argument over a picture which then escalated into the suspect attacking the victim. They fell on the bed and that is when the suspect scratched the victims face and bit his right finger. Officers arrested Happy Begum (03-08-1986) and transported her to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 15000 Northwest Blvd. in reference to a robbery with injuries. Officers arrived and contacted the 21 year old male victim. The victim had a swollen right eye and scratches to his face. The victim advised that he was at the bar and ran into an old girlfriend. He stated that he walked her to her vehicle and was talking with her when a black Ford Mustang approached. A male suspect exited the vehicle and told the victim to get away from the vehicle. The victim did not move and the suspect began to yell at the victim. The victim stated that he was walking away when two other suspects got out of the vehicle and began to fight the victim. The suspects assaulted the victim, took his wallet and fled the scene.  The victim was transported to Northwest Hospital for treatment. A description of the suspects and vehicle was put out over the radio.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and stopped it at 4500 Leopard. Officers contacted the suspects and they matched the description that was put out by responding officers. The suspects were detained during the investigation. Officers observed a wallet  in the front passenger seat and part of an identification card belonging to the victim. Officers arrested John Anthony Figueroa (10-17-1993) and Carlos Monsevais (09-01-1994) for robbery and transported them to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this suspect. Detectives were contacted by the victim who told them that there were numerous ATM withdrawals made from their account using a debit card. The victim stated that neither he or his wife gave anyone permission to make these withdrawals. They also advised that they never lost possession of their debit cards. Detectives worked with the bank and were able to obtain several images of a possible suspect.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 200 S. Tancahua St in reference to a disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted the witness. The witness advised that they observed the 33 year old female suspect urinating in a lot next to the church. The witness advised that is when they called the police. While they were waiting the suspect finished urinating and then walked toward a subject standing on the side of the church. The suspect then began throwing rocks at the subject hitting the side of the building several times causing damage. The complainant told officers that the building was not damaged before the suspect threw the rocks. Officers arrested Virginia Caceres (05-12-1984) and transported her to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to the are of Leopard and Stillwell in reference a stabbing. As officers were responding a description of a grey Camaro leaving the scene was added to the call. Officers located and stopped the vehicle in the area of Leopard and Southern Minerals. Officers arrived at the scene of the stabbing and contacted the 21 year old male victim. He was being treated by CCFD Medics for a laceration below his left knee. The victim advised that he just got off the bus and observed the suspect vehicle pull into a parking lot nearby. The victim recognized the suspect who began walking towards him in an aggressive manner. The victim stated that the suspect began to yell at him and then punch him on the right side of his face. The suspect then pulled a knife and began to slash at him, cutting him in the left leg. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was able to identify the suspect. Officers arrested Scott Myles Ocon (02-13-1995) and transported him to the City Detention Center. The victim was transported to Spohn Shoreline to be treated for his injuries.
