Occurred on 12/07/11, 7:23 p.m.   Evading Arrest   10361 S. Padre Island Drive     1112070087 

Officers patrolling the area of West Point and N. Padre Island Drive for burglars observed a beige 2001 Chevrolet Malibu driving very slowly through the parking lot.  Another male possible acting as the lookout was standing nearby. 

As the Officer approached the driver he left the parking lot and fled from the Officer.  The driver refused to stop and pursuit ensued.  The assisting Officers successfully deployed Stop Sticks in the 5400 and 7000 block of SH 358 deflating both front tires and slowing the driver down.  The suspect continued to evade Officers until he pulled over at Stripes Convenience Store at 10361 S.P.I.D. 

Pete Adam Jalomo (05/27/83) was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest in a Vehicle.  The Malibu was impounded.

Occurred on 11/27/11, 2:07p.m.   Deadly Conduct   9850 La Branch     1111270069 

Officers responded to the Westwood Apartments for a disturbance in progress involving a weapon.  Upon their arrival, Officers contacted the 31-year-old victim who reported the apartment manager had threatened her with a gun.  The victim told Officers a disturbance erupted over her children playing in the parking lot during which the 46-year-old apartment manager threatened to evict her.

The victim told Officers, the manager walked to his  red 2001 Porsche Boxster and armed himself with a firearm.  When the victim warned her husband about the gun, he stepped in front of her.  The suspect’s girlfriend exited the vehicle and stopped him.  They both drove off, but returned after police arrived.

Witnesses confirmed the victim’s account of the incident.  The weapon was not recovered, but the investigation is active and ongoing.

Occurred on 11/22/11, 12:20 p.m. Deadly Conduct 4710 Angela 1111220077 

Officers responded to Ebony Roots for a disturbance involving a weapon. Upon their arrival, Officers contacted salon employees who reported a Black male walked in demanding a refund for his girlfriend’s hairdo.

The owner told Officers the male was very loud-mouthed and confrontational telling her he had to take his girlfriend to the south side and shell out additional money to have the hairdo repaired. She agreed to refund the money, but the suspect refused it and left.

A female returned asking for the money, but the owner requested that the suspect return to pick it up. The suspect did return, but stopped by his vehicle and removed a firearm.  He then walked towards the salon pointing the weapon at the employees, still cursing and shouting at them. The women ran inside and secured the door.

The suspect fled in a white four-door vehicle. He is described as a Black male, 35 to 40 years of age, 5’2″ to 5’3 feet tall and weighing 320 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.  He fled on National Drive in a white Nissan.

Occurred on 11/21/11, 3:38 p.m.   Theft   HWY 77     1111210104

Officers responded to Billy Bob’s Western Wear for a theft which just occurred.  The caller advised he was a Billy Bob’s employee who was following a shoplifting suspect who fled in a white 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.  The employee advised the suspect had stolen several  jeans valued at $300.

Officers pulled over the Ciera as it turned into the parking lot of the Five Points Shopping Center.   They contacted the passenger Rachel Carrillo Flores (07/26/65) who was positively identified as the shoplifting suspect.  The stolen blue jeans were recovered and returned to Billy Bob’s.

Flores was arrested and charged with Theft ~ Shoplifting.   The 55-year-old driver was identified and released.

11.10.2011/2:33a.m.     Aggravated Robbery     5401 Leopard     1111100007

A shots fired call came into the MetroCom Dispatch center stating that a truck had just left “The Cabaret” Gentleman’s Club and was on Leopard Street.

Officers were able to make a traffic stop on a truck fitting the description. They made contact with three individuals in the truck, who were the victims. The driver stated that he had just been robbed.  He informed the Officers that he had been inside of the club all night. When he got ready to leave, he drove around the rear of the building and was waiting for his friends. At that time, he stated that a dark-colored vehicle pulled up behind him and two males approached his vehicle. They pointed guns at him and demanded money from all the occupants and then began beating the driver. The suspects then drove away.

The two suspects were described a Hispanic Males.

The victim was checked out by Medics at the scene and released.

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored Jaguar. Seen here in these Videos.

Occurred 11/04/11, 1:51 a.m.  Wanted Suspect   3918 Leigh Drive     1111040011, 1111040015, 11110400116

Corpus Christi Police Department Officers assisted the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders  and Fugitive Task Force in the arrest of  a Mathis murder suspect who was found to be hiding out at 3918 Leigh Drive.   

Daniel Lara (08/18/87) was arrested and charged with an outstanding San Patricio county warrant for Murder.  

Further investigation revealed Eric Elizondo (07/24/85) aided Lara in an attempt to avoid arrest.  Elizondo was charged with Hindering Apprehension.

Anthony Diaz (09/21/83) who was also inside the residence was found to be wanted.  Diaz was arrested and charged with an outstanding Nueces County warrant for Assault. 

Occurred 10/24/11, 9:30 p.m. Wanted Subject   4100 Molina     1110240133

An Officer pulled over a white 1992 Ford F-150 for a traffic violation  and contacted the driver Robert Lara (05/17/66) who was unable to provide a driver’s license or proof of financial responsibility.  Lara was also found to be wanted. 

Further investigation revealed the truck was stolen and Officers were told the vehicle belonged to Lara’s brother.  Lara was unable to provide Officers with his brother’s name.

Lara was arrested and charged with two outstanding Nueces County warrants for Contempt of Court for Non-Compliance of Bond for Theft over $50 and Theft over $50. There is No Bond set for both warrants.

The vehicle was impounded and found to be owned by a female relative of Lara.
