Offense: Aggravated Kidnapping

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 8:44pm, officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Coleman Avenue in reference to a kidnapping.

On arrival, officers were informed that 29-year-old Benjermin Conde entered the family members residence of his ex-girlfriend, 26-year-old Briana Coleman, without consent. The reporting party told officers that Benjermin forced Briana and their two children, 2-year-old Ava Conde and 1-year-old Zayden Conde to leave with him against their will and they are believed to be in danger. All parties were last seen leaving in a white or silver in color SUV.

Suspect Benjermin Conde is described as a 29-year-old Hispanic male, who stands at 5’5”, weighs approximately 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a beard. Benjermin was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Benjermin has a large chest tattoo across the front of his chest.

Briana Coleman is described as a 26-year-old Hispanic female, who stands at 5’2”, weighs approximately 140 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray warm up pants. Briana has a rose tattoo on her right thigh with the word “Timothy” and a tattoo of name “Trinity” on her right forearm.

Ava Conde is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 2-years-old, weighs approximately 50 pounds and has black hair. Ava was last seen wearing blue shorts and a pink shirt.

Zayden Conde is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 1-year-old, weighs approximately 30 pounds and has black hair. Zayden was last seen wearing a black and white striped outfit.

Investigators are seeking help from the public to locate the whereabouts of Briana Coleman, Ava Conde and Zayden Conde. Investigators have already submitted the required paperwork for an Amber Alert as well as a Clear Alert.

If you see the suspect vehicle or either Briana, Ava, Zayden or Benjermin, or have any additional information about this kidnapping, call the Corpus Christi Police Department at 911. NO ACTIVE SHOOTER

Within the past ten minutes, there have been two calls of possible threats to two local middle schools. At this time, Officers are on scene at both schools and have advised there is no threat to the schools.

MEET YOUR CCPD

Senior Officer Andrea Lenortavage is a ten-year veteran of the Corpus Christi Police Department and began her career in August 2013 as a cadet of the 72nd Police Academy. Senior Officer Lenortavage has spent her career in the Uniform Division as a Patrol Officer and was promoted to Senior Officer on March 26, 2019.

During her career, Senior Officer Lenortavage has been selected for numerous awards: Adam District Officer of the Month (December 2014), Letter of Commendation (September 2016), Letter of Recognition (September 2017), Letter of Recognition (August 2018), Letter of Recognition (September 2018), Bravo District Officer of the Month (November 2018), Adam District Officer of the Month (November 2019), and Letter of Recognition (July 2022). On November 28, 2022, Senior Officer Lenortavage received the Life Saving Award for her actions on November 4, 2022, where she arrived on scene of an unconscious subject and provided CPR to the subject until medics arrived. Her actions assisted medics in regaining the subject’s pulse on scene and were directly responsible for the saving of a human life.

Senior Officer Lenortavage assists the Department’s efforts in recruiting and has been on numerous recruiting trips throughout the State of Texas. At one time during her career, she was part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run team where she attended the Special Olympics South Texas Games. She has also served as a Field Training Officer.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Senior Officer Lenortavage loves spending time with her family, enjoys reading and traveling.

LIVE REPORT TAKING

In an effort to reduce wait times to citizens wishing to make a report for a crime that is not in progress, CCPD will be expanding its Telephone Reporting Unit to include Live Report taking via WebEx. This service will be available Monday – Friday, 7am-10am and 5pm-8pm.

How to take advantage of this:

Call the non-emergency line and select option 1 from the menu.
Request the Live Report Taking option when speaking to a call taker.
Download the WebEx app onto your phone or computer.
Ensure you have a camera and microphone on your phone or computer.
Ensure you leave a valid email address and phone number to be reached at.
The request will be placed into the TRU queue.
The CCPD officer working live reports will send an email link for WebEx for you to use to join a live WebEx chat room.
Join the chat and ensure your camera is on and you have audio.
The officer will discuss your call or concern with you and take appropriate action.
Once the call is complete, the officer will discontinue the meeting and your report will be generated.

This additional resource is being made in an effort to maintain good service and to reduce the response time for in progress calls.

CORPUS CHRISTI AUTO THEFT DETECTIVES NEED YOUR HELP IDENTIFYING THESE SUSPECTED TRAILER THIEVES.

Location: 8000 S. Padre Island Dr.
Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-Trailer
Case Number: 2310290066

On October 29, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 8000 block of S. Padre Island Dr. in reference to a theft of a trailer. Officers contacted the victim who advised that sometime during the previous week their white in color enclosed Interstate cargo trailer was taken from a storage facility. A trailer lock was cut off in order to tow the trailer away.

Officers reviewed security footage and were able to determine 3 suspects were involved in this incident. They were driving an older white Ford Econoline van with a roof rack which is believed to have been stolen also.  

Upon further investigation at least one of the male suspects was also involved in multiple storage unit burglaries during the previous week at the same location. After the burglaries, the male suspect was seen leaving in a mid-sized SUV pictured below.

DETECTIVES NEED YOUR HELP IN IDENTIFYING THEFT SUSPECT.

Corpus Christ Police Detectives would like your help in identifying a suspect in a theft case that occurred on October 16th, 2023.

On October 16, 2023, at about 11:50 AM retail items were taken from a store in the 3800 block of S. Alameda St.
