MISSING ELDERLY

Corpus Christi Police would like help from the public to locate a missing, elderly person.

73-year-old Ensor Gonzalez was reported missing by family members and was last seen at approximately 1:45pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, on the 3800 block of Panama Drive.

Mr. Gonzalez is described as a 73-year-old hispanic male who is 5’9”, weighs approximately 160 pounds, has gray hair, brown eyes, and unknown clothing description at this time. Mr. Gonzalez walks with a limp and wears glasses.

MEET YOUR CCPD

After retiring from the United States Navy, Tom Brown joined the Corpus Christi Police Department in 2005 in the Volunteer in Police Service (VIPS) program. Then, after several years, he accepted the position as the VIPS program Coordinator where he evaluated department personnel needs then recruited and expanded the number and roles for volunteers. The volunteers filled voids in many divisions, alleviating some of the added burden many officers were tasked with. The program proved successful and some of the volunteers later became employees or officers. 

Accepting any task, Tom also served with the Corpus Christi Police Foundation, Citizens Police Academy, as an Advisor to the John W. Sartain Law Enforcement Explorer Post #133, Disabled Parking Patrol program coordinator, coordinated the annual Patriot Run, assisted the interim, and ultimately full-time Program Manager for Animal Care Services with administration, purchasing and budget, human resource management, and became a state certified Animal Control Officer. 

Tom holds an Associate of Science degree in Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Computer Information Systems, both from Park University, and a Master of Criminal Justice degree from Boston University. He is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner and maintains various other qualifications from the United States Secret Service’s National Computer Forensics Institute where he has also served as a course proctor. 

Tom currently serves as a Digital Media Forensic Examiner in the Organized Crime Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (OCU/ICAC) division/task force. His duties include assisting on search warrants, examining digital/electronic devices for evidence related to crimes against children and presenting that evidence for prosecution of the suspected persons. Tom also provides digital investigative assistance to CCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Texas DPS CID and our federal agency partners at HSI, FBI, USSS, and NCIS. 

An avid motorcyclist, Tom is the president of a local Law Enforcement motorcycle organization. He also owns and operates a local motorcycle training company where he shares his passion for safe motorcycling through rider instruction and licensing on 2 and 3-wheel motorcycles from the basic to professional level.

US MARSHALS WANTED SUBJECTS

UPDATE: Alexander Quinones has been located and arrested. Julia Quinones Lechuga is no longer a person of interest in this case. Thank you all for your assistance.

U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force Officers are asking for your help to locate wanted subjects: Julia Quinones Lechuga and Alexander Quinones.

Julia Quinones Lechuga is wanted for HINDER APPREHENSION OR PROSECUTION. She is described as a 32 year old female who stand 5’ 01” feet and weighs approximately 170 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.

Alexander Quinones is wanted for AGGRAVATED ASSAULTED WITH A DEADLY WEAPON . He is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a 38 year old male who stands 6’ 0” feet and weighs approximately 238 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY

On Friday, September 1, 2023, at 4:00pm, officers were dispatched to the 4700 block of Highway 358 westbound over Everhart Road in reference to a major traffic accident.

Officers arrived and located a single vehicle accident where the female driver was ejected from the vehicle. Medics transported the female driver to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Traffic Investigators are currently investigating the accident.

MEET YOUR CCPD

Senior Officer Travis Pace was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland.  After his father retired from the United States Navy, he relocated to Aransas Pass, Texas and graduated from Aransas Pass High School in 1986.  He then attended Del Mar College and served in the United States Army for 6 years. 

In August 1990, Travis was hired by the Corpus Christi Police Department as a Cadet for the 46th Police Academy. After graduating the Police Academy, Travis was assigned to the Patrol Division. During his patrol career, Travis was a Field Training Officer for seven academy classes and spent fifteen years as a member of the SWAT Team performing several duties including Assistant Team Leader. Travis then transferred to the Training Division where he spent fifteen years as an instructor, serving in multiple positions to include In-Service coordinator, physical fitness coordinator and defensive tactics coordinator. Travis stated, “Training and molding the future of our department through teaching is one of my proudest accomplishments in my career.”  

Travis is an Active Shooter instructor for law enforcement personnel as well as civilians. He has lectured countless people throughout our local community and has been invited to teach in Austin and Laredo.  

During his time in the training division, Travis began capturing and highlighting various aspects of the police department through multimedia.  This led to him being transferred to his current assignment in the Public Information Office. Travis has spent ten years in the Public Information Office and recently became the department’s videographer. Travis stated, “I absolutely enjoy what I do, capturing and highlighting the accomplishments of the Department and its Officers.”  

In his off time, Travis enjoys camping with his wife Denise. He is a father of 4 wonderful children and has a grandson that he loves to spoil.  
  
Travis stated, “In my 33 years of public service, I’ve always tried to make people around me smile or laugh. If I’m able to do that, then I’ve had a good day.”

On August 15, 2023, personal items were taken from a victim while they were at a south side gym.
