Police Seek Robbery Suspect Tuesday Morning

The Corpus Christi Police Robbery/Homicide Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who robbed a convenience store on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

A man went into the store located at 666 Airport Road at 2:30am Tuesday morning, displayed a handgun and demanded the cash from the register. The man took the cash and cigarettes and was last seen travelling east on Morgan Avenue.

The man is described as a black male in his mid 20’s in age, about 5 foot five inches tall, thin, and wore sunglasses, a red t-shirt and blue jeans. The man had tattoos of writing on his face, neck and arms, had short hair and a goatee.

Police Seek Help To Identify Burglar

The Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who broke into a restaurant located at 2601 Ayers Street on Sunday, April 21, 2013.

A man threw a rock at a glass door to the restaurant at 4:00am. The man broke open the glass on the fourth attempt and then the man entered the restaurant to take money from the cash register. Detectives have obtained video surveillance images of the man and would now like help from the public to identify and locate the man responsible for this crime.

The man is described as a black male about 30 years in age, about 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds. The man wore a black cap, a hooded jacket and black pants. Victim Evasive about Shooting

Police were called to the The Cove Club for gunshots being fired.  Once they arrived, witnesses told Officers a man had been shot and driven off.

Shortly thereafter, police were called to 456 Eldon by the shooting victim.  The victim who sustained several gunshots to the shoulder, leg and groin was taken to Spohn Memorial by CCFD Emergency Personnel.

The 21-year-old man was vague about the circumstances which led to his injuries.  He did describe the suspect as a White man, 20 to 30 years of age, 6’0” to 6’2” feet tall, and weighing 140 to 190 lbs.

Detectives Want Help to Identify Burglar

The Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who sold stolen property to a pawn shop on Thursday, April 11, 2013.

The property was stolen from a residence on the 1000 block of Lake Street on April 11, 2013 at about 12:30pm. The stolen property was then sold to a pawn shop an hour after the burglary. The person in the picture provided false identification when the property was sold.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a mustache and a full sleeve of colorful tattoos on his right arm. He wore a white head cover, a black t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and black shoes with red laces.

Police Seek Two Yeti Thieves

The Corpus Christi Police Auto Theft Task Force would like help from the public to identify two men who stole a Yeti cooler valued at $400 dollars from a truck parked in a driveway at the 13600 block of Teague Lane on April 10, 2013.

The owner of the truck and cooler provided video to police that shows two men approach the truck on April 9, 2013 at about 11:26pm and saw the cooler. The two men identified the cooler was fastened to the truck. The two men are seen again at about 1:45am on April 10 and the men use bolt cutters to unfasten the cooler. The men then stole the cooler and left in an unknown direction.

The cooler is described as a 65 quart white ice cooler manufactured by Yeti and is valued at $400 dollars. Detectives now would like help from the public to identify the two men in the video.

One man is described as a white male about 20 years in age, 5 foot 9 inches tall, about 180 pounds and wore a light-colored t-shirt.

The other man is described as a white man about 18 years of age, 5 foot 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, wore a light-colored cap and a t-shirt that had a Nike swoosh on the front.

The Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who broke a glass window to a store and then stole merchandise from the store located at 11020 Leopard Street on April 15, 2013.

Detectives obtained video of the man who paced in front of the store at about 1:18am on Monday, April 15, 2013. The man passed by the window a couple times and then broke the window. The man ran inside the store, took some merchandise, and then left.

The man is described as about 5 foot 10 inches tall, 200 pounds, 25-30 years of age, with dark hair and wore glasses, a dark long sleeve shirt, and pants.

Police Investigate Two Robberies Tuesday Night

The Corpus Christi Police Department Robbery/Homicide Detectives are searching for persons responsible for robberies at two locations in Corpus Christi Tuesday night.

The two robberies were committed by a person with the same description, and so investigators are exploring the possibility the two robberies are related. No person was injured in either of the two robberies.

The first robbery happened at 3302 South Port Avenue at 8:45pm. A man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The second robbery happened at 4702 Kostoryz with the same description of the suspect who entered, displayed a handgun, and then demanded cash.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20’s in age, 5 ft. 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, brown hair and hazel eyes, and he wore a blue long sleeve shirt with green stripes, acid washed blue jeans, and brown shoes. The suspect spoke English with no accent and wore black gloves and a gray ski mask. In both robberies, the suspect got away in a dark-colored Chevy 4 door vehicle.

Police Seek Truck Thief

The Corpus Christi Police Auto Theft Task Force would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who stole a truck from a convenience store located at the intersection of McArdle and Ennis Joslin on April 14, 2013.

A 22-year-old man drove his maroon 2007Dodge Ram truck to the store at 10pm and left the vehicle in the parking space with the keys in the ignition with the engine running. The 22-year-old man went into the store and made a purchase, and then when he walked back to his truck, the vehicle was gone.

Investigating Police Officers reviewed video of the event and have images of a Hispanic man between the ages of 20-30 who took the truck without permission. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with short black hair and he wore a long sleeve black shirt and khaki pants. The truck was last seen travelling north on Ennis Joslin. The maroon truck has a temporary tag number 32G7649 as the license plate. The vehicle is further described as a maroon Dodge 1500 LoneStar edition with chrome handles, chrome gas cap and chrome 20 inch factory rims.

Police Seek Women Who Steal From Toy Store

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate three women involved in a theft at a toy store located at 1220 Airline Road on Friday, March 1, 2013.

Two women left the store at 2:23pm on March 1, 2013 with a baby stroller valued at about $150 dollars and clothes with an estimated value of about $300 dollars without paying for any of the merchandise. The two women loaded into a tan passenger vehicle where a third woman drove away from the store. The vehicle was last seen travelling north on Airline toward Alameda.

One of the women involved is described as a Hispanic female who wore a dark shirt with the number 59 on the back and blue jean pants. The other woman who entered the store is described as a Hispanic female who wore a black shirt and white Capri’s and had a small crown tattoo on her face.

Police Investigate Homicide on Van Loan Avenue

Corpus Christi Police were called to the 1700 block of Van Loan Avenue at 6:38pm Thursday night in which two men suffered injuries from gunfire.

A 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old man engaged in a confrontation with a third man, 31-year-old Vernon Goodley (1/21/1982). Goodley presented a firearm and shot the other two men. The two injured men were taken to the hospital for treatment. The 36-year-old man did not survive his injuries.

Goodley fled the scene and was located by police the same night. Goodley was arrested for Murder (a first degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine) and for Aggravated Assault (a second degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine).
