Occurred 9/18/11, 05:54 a.m. Graffiti Arrests Cole Park Skate Park 1109180048
Officers responded to the Cole Park Skate Park for vandals spray painting graffiti in the bowl of the skate park. Upon their arrival, Officers two males had fled towards Oleander Park. John Sanchez (09/03/93) and Nicholas Rodriquez (02/21/92) were captured, but a third suspect was able to escape. A witness reported to Officers he observed the suspects exit from a blue Mustang, walk towards the skate park armed with a black backpack. One of the suspects was observed to be carrying a spray can. The backpack was found by Officers and found to be filled with spray cans. Both Sanchez and Rodriguez denied knowing the owner of the Mustang, but Officers contacted the registered owner who told them her son had left in the Mustang accompanied by both Sanchez and Rodriguez. Sanchez and Rodriguez were both arrested and booked at the CDC. They were both charged with Graffiti ~ Pecuniary Loss less than $20,000 which is a State Jail Felony. The blue Mustang was released to the owner.
Officers contacted the 44-year-old Hispanic male who reported he was stabbed by his girlfriend Amy Wilson (11/25/81) after an argument over their children and her choice of friends. Wilson grabbed a kitchen knife and held it to the victim’s throat. The victim was able to take the knife away and Wilson fled the residence. Officers located Wilson nearby and placed her under arrest. She was transported and booked at the CDC. Wilson was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim sustained a minor cut and checked by CCFD Emergency Personnel. The kitchen knife was recovered and tagged as evidence.
While officers were watching a suspected drug house they observed a vehicle drive up, make a transaction and then quickly drive off. After following the vehicle a short distance they observed the vehicle commit a traffic violation therefore they pulled the car over. Upon doing so they contacted both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle. The female passenger gave officers an incorrect name, as officers continued to question her they discovered her real name was Crystal Hall (9.21.72) and that she had a warrant for her arrest. Subsequently she was placed under arrest. During the arrest they located six baggies of Crack Cocaine in her possession therefore she was additionally charged.
As she was being transported to the City Detention Center, Crystal became belligerent and attempted to pull away and kick at the officers.
The driver of the vehicle was citied and released.
Corpus Christi Homicide Detectives are investigating the City’s most recent murder investigation. At 6:35 PM, Officers responded to 3938 Surfside for a “Nature Unknown” call. After Officers arrived, they discovered a 51-year-old female lying on the bathroom floor in a pool of blood, deceased. She had been discovered at the location by her boyfriend.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene and began a murder investigation. Due to the nature of the ongoing investigation and the circumstances surrounding it, the Police Department is unable to release any further details about the investigations at this time.

Occurred 9/8, 7:36 p.m. Possession of Marijuana 600 Duncan 1109080137
An Officer contacted two males walking in the middle of street, both males smelled strongly of freshly burnt marijuana. The Officer checked both males for weapons and found a knife on the 16-year-old male. As he retrieved the knife, a baggie of marijuana fell out.
The 16-year-old male was detained. During the investigation, his friend, John Anthony Contreras (09/30/93) was also found to be in possession of several baggies of Marijuana and a scale. Contreras was arrested and booked at the CDC. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia. The juvenile was transported and booked at the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Occurred 9/8, 02:42 a.m. Discharging Weapon 1201 Nancy Dr. 1109080017
An Officer responding to a theft call was travelling in the area of Nile and McArdle when he heard a couple of gunshots just east of his location. The Officer was rerouted to 1201 Nancy and arrived to find the residents celebrating a 21st birthday. The homeowner told Officers that several uninvited partygoers arrived and they became out of control. One of the partygoers grabbed a shotgun from his truck and fired several times in the air. No one was injured. The suspect fled in a dark colored Sports Utility Vehicle prior to police arriving. Cody Dell Lewis (09/20/85) was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over leaving the residence. He told Officers they left the residence due to the gunfire. He was found to be wanted and arrested. Lewis was transported and booked at the CDC. He was charged with an outstanding New Braunfels warrant for Larceny over $500. No Bond.
Occurred 9/7, 11:45 p.m. Burglary of a Vehicle 3802 Caravelle 1109080002
A witness reported to police a Hispanic male had driven into the Waterford Apartment complex parking lot, exited his vehicle, and began pulling at several car door handles until he found an unlocked black Saturn. Officer located the vehicle’s owner who told them it had been ransacked, but nothing appeared to taken. Officers pulled over John Garcia (09/26/88) as he attempted to leave the complex. He was positively identified by the witness and arrested. Garcia was also found to be in possession of several pills. He was transported and booked at the CDC. Garcia was charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Possession of a Control Substance.
An Officer working his district received complaints of known prostitutes working the Omaha area. The Officer located Erica Lopez (02/11/76) in the 900 block of Omaha and arrested her. She was transported and booked at the CDC. Lopez was charged with an outstanding Nueces County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Occurred 9/3, 9:30 pm ~ 9:45 pm Theft from a Vehicle 121 N. Shoreline 1109030036
City of Corpus Christi firefighters working in a Medic Unit reported an auto burglary from the ambulance they were driving. As they were returning to the Fire Station, they stopped at 121 N. Shoreline Blvd for a meal break. Shortly thereafter, they received another medical call. When they returned to the ambulance, they noticed a CCFD Tough Book hand held touch screen computer was missing from the ambulance along with one of the figherfignters wallet. The victim’s wallet was found downtown by a homeless individual and was returned to the firefighter.

Occurred 9/5, 9:57 p.m. Criminal Mischief 314 N. Chaparral 1109050152
Officers were dispatched to a couple of vandalism in progress calls in which several callers reported a heavyset Hispanic female was walking with an armed heavyset White male who was shooting at vehicles with a BB gun. Officers contacted the couple at 314 N. Chaparral and detained them. Several victims and witnesses were contacted and they positively identified Christopher Lee Manuel (12/11/90) as the one responsible for shooting out the windows of six vehicles at 416 N. Chaparral and one vehicle at 314 N. Chaparral along with a window at a business located at 213 N. Chaparral. The total damage estimated at $4,800. Officers were unable to locate the weapon, but did find a couple of CO2 cartridges. Manuel was arrested and booked at the CDC. He was charged with Criminal Mischief (State Jail Felony).
