Patrol Report December 31, 2013

Event: Single Vehicle Crash

A 27-year-old man reported a single vehicle crash to the Corpus Christi Police Monday night at the Labonte Park boat ramp. The 26-year-old man and his 22-year-old male passenger told Officers the brakes failed on the brown 2007 Chevrolet Silverado causing the truck to enter the water. No injuries were reported. The Corpus Christi Police Dive Team evaluated the scene and chose to conduct the dive to recover the submerged truck in day light for safety reasons.

Offense: Criminal Trespass (Penal Code Section 30.05) Class B Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312300136

Corpus Christi Police arrested 31-year-old Casey Ganschow (8/25/1982) Monday for criminal trespass at a store located at 6101 Saratoga Boulevard. Corpus Christi Police responded to a shoplifting complaint and were directed by store employees to Ganschow who concealed a cellular telephone in his pocket after he removed the phone from the package and without paying for the merchandise. The Officer arrested Ganschow for theft and then discovered Ganschow had a criminal trespass warning for that store. Ganschow was additionally charged with criminal trespass and then delivered to the city detention center.

Offense: Forgery of a Financial Instrument (Penal Code Section 32.21) 3rd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1312300127

Corpus Christi Police arrested 38-year-old Neil Williamson (3/27/1975) Monday for forgery after he passed a counterfeit bill to a store clerk at 9602 South Padre Island Drive. A Corpus Christi Police Officer walked into the store at about 7:47pm and a 67-year-old man who is a store clerk captured the attention of the Officer. The 67-year-old man told the Officer he was just handed counterfeit money from Williamson in an effort to pay for merchandise. The Clerk handed the Officer the note for inspection. The Officer then arrested Williamson for forgery and delivered him to the city detention center.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 31.07) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312170130

Corpus Christi Police arrested 17-year-old Guy Madison (4/9/1996) for unauthorized use of a vehicle Monday at the 5300 block of Carriage. A Corpus Christi Police Officer got behind a white 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt at Kostoryz and Tiger Lane and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen. The Officer conducted a traffic stop at the 5300 block of Carriage and arrested the driver, Guy Madison, for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The vehicle was originally reported stolen from Carroll High School on December 17 after the keys were reported stolen from an unattended locker. The Officer then released the vehicle to the owner and delivered Madison to the city detention center.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated (Penal Code Section 49.04) 3rd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1312300103

Corpus Christi Police arrested 35-year-old Shad Sonneberger (9/21/1978) for driving while intoxicated with at least 2 previous convictions Monday at South Padre Island Drive near Weber Road. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint at 4:58pm of a driver in a white 2004 Ford F-250 truck slumped over the wheel. Officers found the truck stopped in the road with the driver asleep at the wheel with the truck in drive and the engine running and the doors were locked. The Officer placed his patrol car in front of the truck to prevent the truck from moving forward, and the Officer rocked the truck until he woke the driver. The Officer arrested the driver, Shad Sonneberger, for driving while intoxicated and impounded the truck. The Officer took Sonneberger to the hospital to collect a specimen of blood, and then delivered Sonneberger to the city detention center.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 31.07) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312300034

A 39-year-old woman reported three vehicles stolen Monday from a thrift store located at 5042 South Padre Island Drive to the Corpus Christi Police. The 39-year-old woman told Officers an unknown person stole a truck, a trailer, and a boat which were donated to the thrift store and had a total estimated value of $8,000 dollars.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Penal Code Section 31.07) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312300079

Corpus Christi Police arrested 27-year-old Stephen Allie (8/20/1986) for unauthorized use of a vehicle and for warrants for his arrest Monday at the 3400 block of Ocean Drive. Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash at 2:28pm and discovered a white 2011 Nissan Maxima had struck a light pole and a tree on the 3400 block of Ocean Drive. The Officer who investigated the crash discovered the Maxima was reported stolen out of Houston on December 28, 2013. The two occupants of the car were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The driver, Stephen Allie, was released from the hospital after treatment and arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle and for a warrant for his arrest from Florida for Grand Theft, and a second warrant out of Nueces County for forgery. Allie was delivered to the city detention center. The 27-year-old female passenger in the vehicle remained at the hospital for medical treatment.

Case Number: 1312290092

A 54-year-old man reported a heavy construction loader valued at $60,000 dollars stolen from a job site at the 7600 block of South Padre Island Drive to the Corpus Christi Police Sunday. The 54-year-old man told Officers the loader was found on a trailer in the area of Hereford and Leopard. Officers recovered the vehicle and returned the loader to the 54-year-old man. The trailer was taken to the city impound to be processed for evidence.

Case Number: 1312300013

A 37-year-old man reported a robbery at his apartment located at 7218 South Padre Island Drive Monday morning to the Corpus Christi Police. The 37-year-old man told Officers his wife woke him at about 4:45am to tell him that three men went up the stairs to their apartment balcony and took a bicycle and telescope. The 37-year-old man told Officers he confronted the men and a fight erupted. The 37-year-old man told Officers the three men ran away to a green van and escaped with the bike and telescope with a total value of about $300 dollars.

Offense: Theft (Penal Code Section 31.03) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1312280115

Corpus Christi Police arrested 29-year-old Arnold Saavedra (7/17/1984) for theft at 1220 Airline Road Saturday. A Corpus Christi Police Officer drove past the shopping center at 1220 Airline at about 7:00pm and saw two store employees chase Saavedra. The two store employees saw the Officer and pointed to Saavedra and told the Officer that Saavedra was a shoplifter. The Officer caught Saavedra and returned Saavedra to the store. The Officer discovered that Saavedra had two active warrants for his arrest; one for Larceny and the other for theft. The store employees told the Officer Saavedra stole electronic toys from the store with a total value of about $400 dollars. The Officer arrested Saavedra for theft, the two warrants, and for failing to identify as a fugitive from justice. The toys were returned to the store and the Officer delivered Saavedra to the city detention center.

Offense: Noise Nuisance Enumeration (City Ordinance CC31-2) Class C Misdemeanor

A 65-year-old woman complained to the Corpus Christi Police Sunday morning about excessive noise from a club located at 5922 Staples Street. Officers took decibel measurements and provided warning to the nightclub staff. Officers then issued a citation to a 38-year-old man who owns the club for the noise complaint after warnings were ignored.

Offense: Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (Penal Code Section 46.02) Class A Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312300010

Corpus Christi Police arrested 38-year-old Damian Perez (9/12/1975) for unlawful carrying of a weapon Monday morning at the 3600 block of Crestbrook Court after he displayed a handgun to a tow truck operator. A 29-year-old man told Officers he was approached by Perez at a store on Ayers Street. The 29-year-old man told Officers Perez requested a car be towed at Crestbrook Court and then displayed the pistol. The 29-year-old man told Officers Perez claimed to be a law enforcement officer and made the request to have the car towed.

Corpus Christi Police Officers went to the 3600 block of Crestbrook Court and found Perez in a maroon 2012 Volkswagen. Officers determined Perez is not a law enforcement officer and arrested Perez for unlawful carrying of a weapon. A passenger in the Volkswagen with Perez was 18-year-old Stephanie Ruiz (10/19/1995) who Officers discovered had a warrant for her arrest and had contraband. Officers arrested Ruiz for possession of a controlled substance and for the warrant for her arrest for failing to appear to court on a charge of Possession of Marijuana. Officers impounded the Volkswagen and delivered Perez and Ruiz to the city detention center.

Offense: Aggravated Assault (Penal Code Section 22.02) 2nd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1312290058

A 26-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police that a person discharged a firearm at his mother’s home on the 4500 block of Leon Street Sunday. No injuries were reported. The 26-year-old man told Officers he was in an argument with a 31-year-old man earlier in the day. The 26-year-old man said the 31-year-old man threatened to do damage to the house on Leon Street. The 26-year-old man told Officers the shots were fired at the house hours after the threat. Minor damage to the home was reported. No arrests have been made.

Case Number: 1312290044

A 21-year-old man reported a robbery at an apartment complex located at 5901 Weber Road Sunday morning. The 21-year-old man told Officers he met an unknown man at 2am at the apartment complex to sell a game console he advertised online. The 21-year-old man told Officers the buyer insisted the 21-year-old man meet him alone. The 21-year-old man told Officers he was met by the buyer in the parking lot and then led to a building where two men emerged with handguns and demanded valuables from the 21-year-old man. The 21-year-old man told Officers he believes the buyer of the game console set up the robbery. The 21-year-old man told Officers one of the suspects struck him on the head and caused him injury. The 21-year-old man went to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Case Number: 1312290091

Corpus Christi Police arrested 19-year-old Ruben Ramirez (12/25/1994) for aggravated assault Sunday at the 100 block of Sam Rankin Street. Corpus Christi Police responded to an assault at about 4:52pm Sunday and discovered an injured 60-year-old man. The 60-year-old man was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. Officers arrested Ramirez who caused the injury.

A 31-year-old man reported a burglary to three company vehicles at 5054 Ambassador Row Thursday to the Corpus Christi Police. The 31-year-old man told Officers an unknown man who wore a white or gray sweater with a hood, blue jeans and black shoes, was seen on video at 3:58am on December 25, 2013 force entry into the vehicles and stole tools.

Corpus Christi Police responded to an assault at a bar located at 14305 South Padre Island Drive Thursday night. Witnesses told Officers a 42-year-old man was punched once by a 25-year-old man. The 25-year-old man left the bar before Officers arrived. The 42-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Offense: Theft (Penal Code Section 31.03) Class B Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312260067

Corpus Christi Police arrested 17-year-old Jacob Robertson (5/4/1996) for theft at 6101 Saratoga Boulevard Thursday. A Corpus Christi Police Officer was flagged down by a 21-year-old store employee on Saratoga Boulevard at about 2:00pm Thursday. The 21-year-old man made a shoplifting complaint to the Officer and explained that a man pushed a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying. The 21-year-old man told the Officer he chased the man and recovered the cart full of items, but the suspect ran away. The Officer went to the nearby neighborhoods and found Robertson, who matched the description of the shoplifting suspect. The Officer detained Robertson, went back to the store, and viewed the store video surveillance system. The Officer then arrested Robertson for theft and delivered him to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 38-year-old Andrew Herrera (8/9/1975) for Driving While Intoxicated on the 6800 block of Everhart Road Friday morning. Officers impounded his white 1999 Ford Expedition and delivered Herrera to the city detention center.

Offense: Warrant of Arrest (Code of Criminal Procedure Section 15.01)

Case Number: 1312260137

Corpus Christi Police arrested 18-year-old Douglas Parrish (11/06/1995) Thursday at the 200 block of South Staples Street for a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear for court out of Nueces County.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer saw Parrish and a 29-year-old man appear from behind a vacant building at a little after 10pm Thursday night and investigated the two men. The Officer learned Parrish had a warrant for his arrest and then delivered Parrish to the city detention center. The 29-year-old man ran from Officers to the 1200 block of Mussett Street until he was captured by other Corpus Christi Police Officers and arrested for public intoxication. The 29-year-old man fought with Officers which resulted in one Officer injured which required medical treatment. The 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and will be delivered to the city detention center once released from the hospital.

Case Number: 1312250046

A 47-year-old woman reported a burglary to a home on the 5700 block of Hampshire Road Wednesday to the Corpus Christi Police Department. The 47-year-old woman told Officers some unknown person broke into the home through a back door without permission between 9:00 am and 3:00pm while the home was unoccupied on December 25 and stole a television from inside the house.

Case Number: 1311120050

A Corpus Christi Police Officer recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the driver on the 5700 block of Leopard at 10:38pm on December 24, 2013. A Corpus Christi Police Officer saw a stolen silver 2006 Buick Lacrosse on the 5700 block of Leopard Street and followed the car until it stopped at a gas station at the intersection of Leopard Street and Lantana. The Officer arrested the driver, 37-year-old Alice Castillo (10/02/1976) and delivered her to the city detention center. The vehicle was originally reported stolen out of Corpus Christi on November 12, and the vehicle was delivered to the city impound lot.

Offense: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Code of Criminal Procedure 15.01)

Case Number: 1312260006

Corpus Christi Police arrested 45-year-old Anthony Montez (2/22/1968) for a warrant for his arrest after he was found on a stolen motorcycle on the 1700 block of Jordan Drive Thursday morning. Corpus Christi Police were aware of an active warrant for arrest for Montez from Alice, Texas, for theft of a firearm. Officers went to the residence of Montez on the 1700 block of Jordan and saw Montez on a motorcycle. Officers met with Montez, explained he had a warrant for his arrest and moved to apply handcuffs. Montez fought with the two Corpus Christi Police Officers and ran until the Officers overpowered Montez and placed him safely in handcuffs. The Officers then discovered the motorcycle was reported stolen from Nile Drive in Corpus Christi in October 2013. Officers also discovered Montez had a white crystal substance in a bag which the Officers believed to be methamphetamine in a jacket pocket. Officers impounded the motorcycle then delivered Montez to the city detention center for the warrant for his arrest, resisting arrest, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.

Case Number: 1312250039

A 35-year-old man reported a burglary to his home located at the 1200 block of Rickey Drive to the Corpus Christi Police Wednesday. The 35-year-old man told Officers some unknown person broke open the front door to the home between 8pm on December 24 and noon on December 25 while the home was unoccupied and the person stole a television from inside the home.

Case Number: 1312250061

Corpus Christi Police arrested 67-year-old James Lewis (5/18/1946) for driving while intoxicated on the 1300 block of Sandpiper Drive Wednesday after he struck a parked car with his silver 2014 Nissan Versa. No other people or property was involved in the crash. Lewis was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and then delivered to the city detention center.

Offense: Accident Involving Damage (Transportation Code Section 550.0022) Class B Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1312250009

Corpus Christi Police responded to a vehicle crash in which a Sport Utility Vehicle struck a house on the 4300 block of Philippine Drive at 2am on December 25, 2013. Corpus Christi Police learned that a white 2011 Nissan Pathfinder struck the front door of the home and caused an estimated $20,000 dollars worth of damage according to a report by the responding Officers. Witnesses told Officers a woman ran from the crash scene. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The vehicle was taken to the city impound.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 22-year-old Eric Moreno (12/14/1991) for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana on the 6900 block of Everhart Wednesday after motorists called Police to report unsafe driving. The Officer impounded the green 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Moreno operated and then delivered Moreno to the city detention center.

Case Number: 1312260019

Corpus Christi Police arrested 20-year-old Fabian Vasquez (4/28/1993) for Driving While Intoxicated at Kostoryz and Westgard Lane Thursday morning. Corpus Christi Police responded to a vehicle crash at 4am and learned a red 1999 Ford Explorer entered the intersection of Kostoryz Road and Westgard Lane at a high rate of speed and attempted to turn onto Kostoryz, but the vehicle rolled. A 17-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Officers impounded the vehicle and arrested Vasquez for driving while intoxicated. No other injuries or property damage was reported. Officers took Vasquez to the hospital for a medical evaluation and then delivered him to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 27-year-old Celeste Bitton (9/15/1986) for driving while intoxicated at 4434 Ayers Street after she was involved in a vehicle crash in which a blue 2013 Chevrolet Sonic rental car struck a tree Thursday morning. Corpus Christi Police responded to a single vehicle crash at 2:55am and arrested Bitton for driving while intoxicated. No other people or property was involved in the crash. Officers took Bitton to the hospital to insure she was not injured, and then delivered her to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 28-year-old Jesusa Mendoza (11/01/1985) for injury to a child on the 2200 block of Talisman Street Wednesday night. Corpus Christi Police arrested four men for deadly conduct Tuesday at the 1900 block of Mussett Street. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint that a person discharged a firearm at about 12:45pm from a white Jeep. Corpus Christi Police saw a white Jeep on 19th Street near Mussett and conducted a traffic stop. The Jeep continued to travel to the 200 block of Luna and then stop. A passenger ran from the vehicle and was apprehended by Corpus Christi Police. Officers found evidence of the crime in the Jeep with three other men. Corpus Christi Police arrested 26-year-old Martell Head (2/3/1987) for Deadly Conduct, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and evading arrest. Corpus Christi Police arrested 20-year-old Cassius Clay (6/30/1993) for Deadly Conduct and Evading Arrest in a Vehicle. Corpus Christi Police arrested 31-year-old Robert Solomon (3/11/1982) and 25-year-old Jonathan Goodwin (2/26/1988) for Deadly Conduct and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Officers impounded the vehicle and delivered the four men to the city detention center. Officers located property damage, and no injuries were reported.

A 26 year old man reported to Corpus Christi Police Monday that an unknown person displayed a handgun in traffic. The 26 year old man told Officers he traveled south on Betty Jean and a blue Ford Taurus sped out of the parking lot of Pets Mart. The 26 year old man told Officers he urgently applied the brake to avoid a collision and honked his horn repeatedly at the Taurus. The 26 year old man told Officers the driver of the Taurus stopped at the intersection with Williams Drive, exited the car, and displayed a handgun. The 26 year old man told Officers the man then lifted his shirt to display some type of small badge, then got into the Taurus and left. The 26 year old man described the suspect to Officers as a man with light skin, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with brown hair and wore a dark blue polo shirt and blue jeans. No injuries were reported.

The Officer discovered medication not prescribed to Gomez in the pockets of Gomez, so Gomez was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 32-year-old Thomas McFatridge (7/28/1981) for unauthorized use of a vehicle at the 8200 block of Leopard Street Sunday morning. A 26-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police at 2 minutes to midnight on Saturday night, an unknown man stole a gold 1999 Dodge Caravan from the 26-year-old man. The 26-year-old man explained to Officers he sat in the driver’s seat at the 8200 block of Leopard when a man got into the passenger seat without permission. The 26-year-old man was frightened out of the vehicle, and the unknown man slid over to the driver’s seat and drove away.

Other Corpus Christi Police Officers found the van at the 2400 block of Rand Morgan and arrested McFatridge, who matched the suspect description provided to Officers by the 26-year-old man. The Officers observed injuries on McFatridge which were caused before any Officer contacted McFatridge, so he was taken to the hospital for treatment. The Officers continued to investigate and then arrested McFatridge for Driving While Intoxicated with more than two prior convictions. McFatridge was medically cleared and then delivered to the city detention center for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and for Driving While Intoxicated. The vehicle was returned to the 26-year-old man.

The children of Heimbigner, ages 9 and 12, called Corpus Christi Police at 7:20am to complain about Heimbigner’s behavior. The children told Officers their father was acting crazy. Officers contacted Heimbigner and believed he was under the influence of illegal narcotics. The Officers called the grandmother of the children to provide them care. The Officers arrested Heimbigner for public intoxication and resisting arrest and then delivered him to the city detention center.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer issued a citation to a purple 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo which was parked in a handicap parking space without authorization at 5313 Saratoga Boulevard Saturday. The Officer then noticed three children in the car ages 8, 6, and 4 without any adult supervision. The Officer waited with the car for fifteen minutes until a 34-year-old woman came to the car with groceries. The Officer generated a criminal complaint for child abandonment. The 34-year-old woman was released at the scene with the children.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 37-year-old Byron Crissman (7/13/1976) Thursday after a search, which included the patrol K9 unit, for a warrant for his arrest for a parole violation for burglary of a habitation. Corpus Christi Police went to Crissman’s residence on the 900 block of Hazel Drive Thursday afternoon because they were aware of the warrant for his arrest. The Officers were told Crissman had left walking and the Officers searched the area until they tracked Crissman to a restaurant located at 6109 McArdle Road. Crissman locked himself in a restroom and snuck out through the ceiling and ran from the Officers. The Corpus Christi Police patrol K9 joined the search until Crissman was located nearby and arrested. Officers then delivered Crissman to the city detention center for the probation violation and for an additional charge of evading arrest.

The 79-year-old man told Officers he believes the person entered the house by breaking a bedroom window to get inside.

Officers learned from witnesses the identity of the person responsible for the burglary. Officers tracked the suspect and recovered the saw. No arrests have yet been made.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 21-year-old Erika Lopez (3/31/1992) for an assault on a public servant Thursday at an apartment complex located at 3535 Cottonwood Street. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a disturbance and found a 22-year-old man arguing with several people at an apartment. The 22-year-old man told Officers he was there to collect a child as required by a custody agreement. Lopez continued the disturbance and a Corpus Christi Police Officer contacted Lopez to escort her upstairs to gather the child. Lopez swung her elbow to strike the Officer in the chin. Lopez was arrested for the assault and delivered to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a burglary in progress at a building on the 1300 block of Eighteenth Street at 9:25am. Officers arrived and saw Escobar in the progress of the burglary. Escobar ran from the Officers. Escobar kicked open the door to a home on the 1400 block of Eighteenth Street as he fled from Officers; but was chased out of the home by those in the home. Corpus Christi Police Officers captured Escobar and arrested him for Burglary of a Building, Evading Arrest, and Criminal Trespass. Escobar was delivered to the city detention center.

Officers learned that employees demanded Guzman to leave the office after he became an annoyance and even answer the phones when they rang. Officers arrested Guzman for Criminal Trespass and for resisting arrest. Guzman was then delivered to the city detention center.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is asking the public’s assistance to help identify and locate a woman who robbed the Corpus Christi City Employees Credit Union.  Police were told a heavyset woman walked into the bank and handed the teller a note; demanding money.  The suspect was given an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a heavyset White woman,  40 to 50 years of age,   She was last seen wearing a blue warm-up top, black sweatpants, black shoes, and possibly wearing a dark Red or Auburn wig.  She was also wearing white framed sunglasses.

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday, December 5, 2013 in a two vehicle accident.  Corpus Christi Police Crash Investigators believe a white GMC Acadia driven by 21-year-old Zalen Martin Ellison entered the intersection when a red light was displayed and struck a green Toyota Prius (Green n Go taxi) driven by the 30-year-old man.

The Acadia and the Prius were only occupied by the drivers. The force of the impact caused the Prius to strike a black 2006 Nissan Altima occupied by five people.

The 30-year-old man was taken to Spohn Memorial with what Officers believe were serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Ellison was also taken to Spohn Memorial with non-life threatening injuries. The five occupants of the Altima did not report any injuries. Both drivers were admitted to the hospital due to their injuries.

Crash Investigators believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash and continued to investigate. On December 19, 2013, the Traffic and Safety Division secured a felony arrest warrant for Zalen M. Ellison(03/25/92).  He is wanted for Intoxicated Assault with a Vehicle Causing Severe Bodily Injury.  His Bond is set at $50,000.

Corpus Christi Police investigated a theft complaint on the 700 block of Chase Monday and learned that Henry may have been responsible. Officers also learned that Henry had an active felony warrant for his arrest from Mississippi. Officers tracked Henry to his work site and arrested Henry for the warrant for his arrest and then delivered him to the city detention center. Investigation of the theft complaint on Chase Street continues.

Officers found Lidy asleep on the floor and then learned Lidy had a warrant for his arrest for Possession of Marijuana and for unlawful carrying a weapon. Officers arrested Lidy and then delivered him to the city detention center.

No injuries were reported and a witness described the suspect vehicle to Corpus Christi Police as a black Cadillac Escalade which drove with its lights off at about 6:00am.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a fight complaint in the middle of the street at 4:15pm and discovered one of the men in the fight, Alvarado, used metal knuckles. Officers arrested Alvarado because metal knuckles are a prohibited weapon and then delivered Alvarado to the city detention center.
