At approximately 2:50 A.M. on Friday, October 30, 2020, Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the 5400 block of S Alameda Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a 14-year-old female shooting victim, who succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Officers were able to properly identify and locate the suspect, 17-year-old Jose Garcia, at approximately 8:00 A.M. Garcia was detained and transported to the main station to be interviewed by Detectives. Garcia was later transported to the City Detention Center, where he was processed on a Capital Murder charge at approximately 6:10 this evening.
This was not a random act of violence and the parties involved were known to each other.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased, white male, approximately 30-40 years of age. Investigators have advised that foul play is suspected.

Homicide Investigators with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office need your help to locate the individual responsible for the Murder of 40-year-old Jaydee Rodriguez. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in providing information that will lead to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons involved in this Homicide.
At approximately 9:56 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the body of Jaydee Rodriguez was discovered by a worker at the Chapman Ranch Cotton Gin, located at 1726 County Road 6 in Nueces County, Texas. Evidence located at the scene indicated that Rodriguez was murdered at another location and his body was then subsequently dumped at the location where he was found.

Corpus Christi Police Investigators would like help from the public to locate a missing person.
Clara Ayala was reported missing by her family on October 15, 2020. Clara was last seen in Corpus Christi on approximately July 31, 2020. She was last active on social media on August 16, 2020 and was last known to be in the San Antonio area.
Clara is described as a 48-year-old female who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Corpus Christi Police Department has partnered with several local Law Enforcement Agencies to participate in the National Red Ribbon Campaign. Officers will be participating in Red Ribbon Parade Routes at several local elementary schools throughout the week.

Nueces County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to locate 45-year-old Abel Lucio who has an outstanding warrant for Violation of Protective Order (No Bond) as well as an outstanding warrant for Terroristic Threat to Family Member.
Lucio is described as a 45-year-old male, who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs approximately 146 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Corpus Christi Police Department Criminal Investigation Division were able to identify 21-year-old Joseph Perez as the offender in the homicide that occurred on October 16, 2020 at the 200 block of Port Avenue.
Detectives secured a warrant for Capital Murder with a bond of $1,000.000.00 and Joseph was located by the Corpus Christi Police Department Gang Unit on October 18, 2020 at 11:30 pm on Elesa & Mary.

The Corpus Christi Police Department continues to work to address the racing on Shoreline and Ocean Drive. On October 17th there were two separate traffic stops that resulted in arrests.
At 10:31 pm officers stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign at Shoreline and Resaca then drove left of center. The 21 year-old driver was arrested for Reckless Driving and Child Endangerment due to a small child being in the vehicle during the reckless driving. During the arrest the officers found a handgun and the driver was additionally charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm.
At 1:15 am officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed on the 700 block of Shoreline. The 34 year-old driver initially failed to stop for the officers after they activated the emergency lights. Upon stopping the driver was arrested for Eluding Police and Reckless Driving.

Corpus Christi Police Department Investigators need your help identifying a suspect believed to be involved in the city’s latest homicide.
Officers were dispatched to 200 N. Port in reference to a man down. When they arrived they found a woman on the side of the road and appeared to have multiple stab wounds. The responding officers began first aid until the medics arrived and transported her to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Officers and detectives investigated the scene and were able to locate video of the possible suspect.

The suspect appears to be either a white or Hispanic male wearing a ball cap, short sleeve shirt and pants.
