Police Seek Culprits in Thefts of Security Cameras

Corpus Christi Property Crimes Detectives are asking the public’s assistance to help identify the suspects responsible for stealing the 72-year-old victim’s security cameras on two separate occasions.

Police Arrest Parents For Injury to a Child

Corpus Christi Police arrested 31-year-old Shirley Delossantos (9/7/1982) and 28-year-old Joe Trevino (4/14/1985) for injury to a child Friday morning. Delossantos was also charged with a probation violation warrant.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 46-year-old Connie Rivera (1/31/1967) at her home on the 7800 block of Calgary Drive Thursday for a warrant for her arrest for forging prescriptions.

A 35-year-old woman reported at burglary to the Corpus Christi Police Thursday at the 5200 block of River Oaks Drive. The 35-year-old woman told Officers some unknown person entered her blue 2006 Acura between midnight at 7:00am while it was parked and unattended on the 5200 block of River Oaks Drive and took a Smith and Wesson handgun valued at about $480 dollars from inside the vehicle.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 29-year-old Joseph Sharpe (10/14/1984) at the 1500 block of Lazy Lane Thursday afternoon. A Corpus Christi Police Officer saw Sharpe drive a vehicle in the area of State Highway 358 and Agnes and knew Sharpe had two active warrants for his arrest. The Officer followed Sharpe to the 1500 block of Lazy Lane when Sharpe stopped the vehicle, and then ran on foot from the Officer. Sharpe was captured and charged with the two warrants, one for aggravated assault and the other for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Sharpe was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs, evading arrest, and unlawful possession of body armor by a felon. Sharpe was then delivered to the city detention center.

Local Man Charged with Sexual Performance by a Child

AndrewLeeEnsingerThe Corpus Christi Police Department would like to thank the community and our local Media for helping detectives identify the man who solicited a 14-year-old juvenile male.

After receiving several tips, detectives were able to identify Andrew Lee Ensinger (08/09/77) and obtain a warrant for his arrest. 

Ensinger was arrested on November 14, 2013 at his place of employment, 5602 Old Brownsville Road.  He was charged with the outstanding warrant for Sexual Performance by a Child which is a Second Degree Felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.  Ensinger’s bond was set at $75,000.

Identity of Robbery Suspect Sought

Corpus Christi Police Homicide/Robbery Detectives are asking the public’s assistance to help identify a man who robbed a local Stripes Convenience Store.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 30 to 45 years of age, standing six feet tall, and weighing 200 lbs.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 32-year-old Charles Isaac (12/27/1980) for a warrant of arrest at a traffic stop on State Highway 358 and Agnes Street Thursday morning. A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at 1:07am when he saw a blue 2001 Ford Mustang for speeding. The Officer arrested the driver, 32-year-old Isaac, for a warrant for his arrest for a parole warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The vehicle was impounded and Isaac was delivered to the city detention center.

Police Apprehend Kidnapping Suspect

Corpus Christi Police arrested a 43-year-old man for kidnapping a 36-year-old woman Wednesday at 10241 South Padre Island Drive. Corpus Christi Police responded to several calls of a man who displayed a handgun to a woman while she was in the drive through of a restaurant. The man with the handgun got into the driver’s seat and drove away with the woman in the woman’s white sport utility vehicle.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer saw the white sport utility vehicle in a parking space at a bank next to the restaurant and confronted the kidnapping suspect, 43-year-old Craig Davis (8/6/1970). The 36-year-old woman got out of the vehicle and Davis reversed the vehicle into two vehicles behind him. Davis exited the vehicle and ran on foot to the north side of South Padre Island Drive where Corpus Christi Police apprehended Davis.

Davis was arrested for Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Criminal Mischief, and Evading Arrest. The victim was not injured. One Corpus Christi Police Officer received a minor injury, a cut to the face during the struggle with Davis in an effort to apply handcuffs. Davis was exposed to the electronic control device in order to place him in police custody, and was not injured. Davis was then delivered to the city detention center.

Masked Gunman Robs Local Restaurant

p1 p2Corpus Christi Police Homicide/Robbery Detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery that happened Saturday morning at a local Whataburger.  A 52-year-old employee told Police he was robbed at gunpoint, by a man who demanded cash.

The employee told Officers the suspect hit him on the head which caused a small cut, and forced him to give the suspect an undetermined amount of money.    The man was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The suspect is described as a male who wore a gray or light green long sleeve hoodie, blue jeans, tennis shoes and a ski mask.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a loud noise complaint at 11:36pm and arrested 47-year-old Lydia Gonzales (5/9/1966) for Possession of a controlled substance (for pills not prescribed to her), 28-year-old Marie Leiva (11/16/1984) for a warrant for her arrest for Criminal Trespassing, 41-year-old Lance Flanagan (4/8/1972) for Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), Suzanne Hinckley (9/6/1979) and Raul Benavides (3/3/1974) both for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives are asking the public’s assistance to help identify a man who approached a juvenile and made inappropriate remarks to him.  The man offered to pay the 14-year-old money, if the juvenile allowed the suspect to view his private parts.  The juvenile was uninjured and informed parents who called police.

The suspect is described as a slender White male, 25 to 35 years of age, and standing 5’8” to 5’9” feet tall.  He was last seen wearing glasses, a white striped polo shirt, and khaki pants.
