A 48-year-old woman reported to the Corpus Christi Police that an unknown person took scrap metal worth about $500 dollars from outside a business that was intended for salvage. A Corpus Christi Police Officer found the suspect and the metal was returned to the 48-year-old woman. The suspect was not arrested, but theft charges are pending.
A Corpus Christi Police Officer searched and found a fugitive, 43-year-old Joan Murphy (12/21/1969) who had a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear to court for an assault charge.

A 33-year-old woman reported to Corpus Christi Police that a person went into her home at the 4600 block of Archer Drive without permission and took clothes and jewelry, and then caused damage to property inside the home. The 33-year-old woman suspects a specific person was responsible for the damage and the theft. No arrest has been made and Corpus Christi Police continue to investigate.

A 35-year-old store employee reported to the Corpus Christi Police that an unknown person paid for merchandise with a counterfeit bill. The suspect had left the store prior to law enforcement arrival and the evidence was collected.
Store loss prevention staff stopped a 41-year-old woman when she left the store without paying for merchandise. Corpus Christi Police responded and arrested 41-year-old Ana Munoz (10/2/1971) for theft. Munoz was delivered to the city detention center.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at the 3600 block of Braniff Street Wednesday afternoon and discovered the vehicle had no insurance. The vehicle was impounded and the 55-year-old woman operator was issued a citation for no insurance.

A 29-year-old man reported to the Corpus Christi Police that his 22 foot Pathfinder boat with a black 2001 Yamaha outboard engine valued at $22,000 dollars and his gray 2001 boat trailer valued at $800 dollars was taken by some unknown person overnight between Monday and Tuesday from a business on Graham Road.
Corpus Christi Police arrested 38-year-old Roxanne Zavala (9/7/1975) at the south gate of the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi when gate guards discovered Zavala had two warrants for her arrest. The warrants were for probation violations on an original charge of assault. Zavala was delivered to the city detention center.
A 34-year-old man reported to the Corpus Christi Police that an unknown person stole the exterior air conditioner unit from a house under construction on the 2500 block of North Oso Parkway. The Unit is valued at about $4,500 dollars.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at the 2000 block of Airline Road when a red 2013 Jeep Patriot travelled 51 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour speed zone. The Officer arrested 32-year-old Steven Miles (7/24/1981) for Driving While Intoxicated and for a warrant for his arrest for unpaid traffic citations.

Fortuna Guerra (1/9/1971) is wanted for a parole violation
The Corpus Christi Police Department is searching for 42-year-old Fortunato Guerra (1/9/1971) who violated the terms of his parole. Guerra is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 280 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. The last known address for Guerra was in Flour Bluff. Guerra is a known gang member and considered to be armed and dangerous.

On Wednesday, 9/11/2013, the Police Department, along with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, will co-host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Sherrill Park in the 100 block of South Shoreline and Kinney Street. The ceremony will commence promptly at 9:30 a.m. and will include the CCFD Pipe & Drum Corps and the CCPD Color Guard & Rifle Team. The featured speaker will be CCFD Captain Lee Rogers who, with a Task Force, assisted in the recovery in New York.
A 28-year-old restaurant employee reported to the Corpus Christi Police at 2:00pm Monday afternoon that a 19-year-old man sat in the restaurant at 6:15am, ate a meal, had no money and refused to leave. The 28-year-old woman told the 19-year-old man to leave in the presence of the Officer, but the 19-year-old man ignored the demand to leave. The Officer then arrested 19-year-old James Johnson (12/19/1990) for Criminal Trespass and then delivered him to the city detention center.
A 22-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police that he made a driving error on Airline Road and a man in a black Chevy Pickup Truck pointed a handgun at the 22-year-old man. No injuries or damage was reported. The 22-year-old man provided a description of the man and the vehicle to Police. Corpus Christi Police located a black truck with a man who matched the description provided, but did not find enough evidence to effect an arrest, so the suspect was released. Police continue to investigate.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer found a 13-year-old girl asleep in a laundry room at an apartment complex. The girl said she was waiting for a friend. The Officer found a bag of what the Officer believed to be synthetic marijuana with the girl. The girl was delivered several miles away to her home and released to her 32-year-old mother.
Corpus Christi Police went to the 4100 block of Herndon Street Monday evening to investigate a threat complaint. The Officers interviewed 22-year-old Kyle Sullivan McCort (4/9/1991) and discovered he had a warrant for his arrest for an assault in Travis County. Sullivan McCort was then arrested for the warrant and then delivered to the city detention center.

The Officer arrested the driver, 26-year-old Jefte Flores (10/28/1986) for possession of marijuana. Flores was delivered to the city detention center.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop Tuesday morning at Mustang Trail and Staples Street when a black 2003 Ford Mustang travelled faster than the posted speed limit. The Officer arrested 24-year-old Robert Ramirez (5/25/1989) for Driving While Intoxicated with an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle. Ramirez was delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound.
A Corpus Christi Police Officer responded to the 1600 block of Morris Street for a disturbance complaint. The Officer discovered one of the people involved had a warrant for their arrest for murder. The Officer arrested 26-year-old Rosanna Juarez (7/23/1987) for the warrant and delivered her to the city detention center.

The Officer arrested 19-year-old Tyler Whitmire (9/24/1993) for unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corpus Christi Police arrested 19-year-old Ruby Sanchez (4/26/1994) and 33-year-old Maria DelosSantos (12/19/1979) for aggravated assault at the 200 block of North Port Avenue on Saturday night.
A 33-year-old man reported to the Corpus Christi Police that he walked the street on the 3100 block of Magnolia Street at about midnight when an unknown person approached him and cut his arm with a knife. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The suspect remains at large.
A Corpus Christi Police Officer responded to a complaint of several men attempting to break into vehicles at the 2700 block of Sunray Circle at 2:12am. The Officer saw three men who immediately ran from the Officer. The Officer caught 19-year-old Timothy Thompson (1/26/1994) and 18-year-old Xavian Stewart (2/15/1995) and arrested them both for evading arrest. Thompson was also arrested for two warrants for his arrest, one for burglary of a building and the other for burglary of a vehicle. Thompson and Stewart were delivered to the city detention center and impounded a red 1990 Chevy 1500 pickup. Police continue to search for the third suspect in this case.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 20-year-old Emily Brown (5/12/1993) for public intoxication on the 7100 block of South Padre Island Drive Friday night after she caused a disturbance with hospital staff and refused to go home with her father. Brown insisted she wanted to walk home but was taken to the city detention center instead.
Corpus Christi Police arrested 50-year-old Raymond Distiso (7/27/1963) Friday night at his home on the 1100 block of Arnold Drive for a warrant for his arrest for Assault on a Public Servant. Distico was additionally charged with resisting transport and then delivered to the city detention center.

A 45-year-old man had reported to Corpus Christi Police that his truck was stolen while he went wade fishing and left the keys in the gas cap.
A Corpus Christi Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at the 9500 block of South Padre Island Drive Sunday afternoon when a silver 2002 Lincoln Continental drove through the red light and turned through several cars. The Officer arrested the driver, 38-year-old Kimberly Prickett (12/21/1974), for reckless driving. Prickett had an active warrant for arrest for Driving While License Invalid and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs because Prickett had several medications which were not prescribed to her. Prickett was also charged with Driving While License Invalid for the instance of her reckless driving. Prickett was delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound.

Torres was delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound lot.

The passenger, 21-year-old Jose Aguinaga (5/17/1992) was also arrested for possession of marijuana. Both men were taken to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound lot.

The driver, 26-year-old Eleazar Rangel (1/9/1987) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving as an Unlicensed Operator, and No Insurance. Rangel was delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound lot.

Corpus Christi Police caught a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl on the 4400 block of Spring Street Sunday night and took them into custody for Burglary of a Habitation, Criminal Mischief, and possession of marijuana. A 56-year-old man found the three teens inside a vacant house and the 56-year-old man called police. The 56-year-old man said the teens caused an estimated $10,000 dollars worth of damage to the house. The teens ran from the 56-year-old man but were apprehended by Corpus Christi Police and delivered to the Nueces County Juvenile Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 21-year-old Roman Perez (5/11/1992), 26-year-old Rodney Wheeler (7/13/1987), 26-year-old Christopher Blanco (2/3/1987), and 20-year-old Damian Maldonado (12/1/1992) for racing on Interstate Highway 37 at 1:52am Sunday morning and their four vehicles were impounded.

The Officer also arrested the passenger, 30-year-old Trisha Lozano (9/17/1982) for Public Intoxication. Lee and Lozano were delivered to the city detention center and the vehicle was taken to the city impound.

Police were called to the convenience store for an armed robbery in which the store clerk was stabbed. The two employees reported the robber walked into the store and took an undetermined amount of money, stabbing one of them in arm. The clerk was taken to Spohn Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, standing 5’5″ to 5’7″ feet tall, and weighing 140 to 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing an orange “Texas Longhorns” t-shirt and blue jean shorts.

On Saturday, September 7, 2013, the second annual Patriot 5K Fun Run & Walk will take place in memory of the 12th anniversary of September 11, 2001. The event honors all of those who are first to respond in times of emergency, including all present and past members of the Armed Forces, Police Officers, Firefighters and Paramedics, Sheriff’s Deputies, Department of Public Safety Troopers, Constable’s Officers, State and Federal Officers, Crime Scene Investigators and Dispatchers.
The event will begin with a patriotic ceremony at 7:00 a.m. at Sherrill Park, with the Corpus Christi Veterans Band and the Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas. The 5K course will take place along the sea wall with a loop around the People Street T-Head and a turnaround in front of the bayfront. Afterwards, participants can tour different law enforcement exhibits and awards for best running times in different age categories will be handed out.
The run will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. at Sherrill Park, 222 S. Shoreline Drive. The event is free to all active and retired first responders and members of the Armed Forces. Kids 12 and under will cost $10, while adult non-first responders will cost $25. Everyone will receive a t-shirt and a bib number for finish line timing, as quantities are availability. Race day registration will take place from 6:30 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. Participants may also go online to www.vfitproductions.com to register or to print out entry forms.
