A 42-year-old man reported to Corpus Christi Police that some unknown person broke the window to his white Chevy Silverado pickup while it was parked overnight at the 1000 block of North Water Street and took about $500 in property from inside the vehicle.

A 47-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for burglary from a motor vehicle after he took a purse from a car at the gas pumps at 2002 Morgan Avenue. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a theft at 1:07pm. A 37-year-old woman said a man took her purse from her green 2003 Nissan X-terra while it was at the fuel pump. While on his way to the call, a responding Corpus Christi Police Officer saw 47-year-old Stephen Arellano (1/21/1966) who matched the suspect description a few blocks away. The Officer stopped Arellano and found that Arellano had the 37-year-old woman’s purse. Arellano was arrested and then found to be in possession of marijuana. The purse was returned to the woman and Arellano was arrested for Burglary from a Vehicle (a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine) and for Possession of Marijuana (a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in jail and up to a $2,000 fine).

A Corpus Christi Police Officer was injured and a 31-year-old man was arrested for assault on the 2600 block of Elgin Street Tuesday afternoon. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a disturbance at 2:11pm Tuesday afternoon. 31-year-old Juan Medina (9/6/1981) threatened officers and became violent. One Officer suffered an injured shoulder in the struggle to arrest Medina. Medina was arrested for Assault on a Public Servant (a 3rd Degree Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine) and for Resisting Arrest (a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine).

An 18 year old man was arrested Tuesday night after he broke into a home on the 200 block of Pearse Drive and took valuables by force. A 24-year-old woman told Corpus Christi Police her 29-year-old husband went to the store leaving the 24-year-old woman with her 4-year-old child. The woman saw two men dressed in all black force open the front door to her home at 11:30pm. One of the men displayed a handgun and took about $1,000 dollars worth of valuables from the home. The woman recognized one of the men as a person who had been in the home several times.
18 year old Victor Campos (3/7/1995) was located on the 2800 block of Sabinas Street and arrested for Aggravated Robbery (a 1st Degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine). Campos was also arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Arrest. Campos was then delivered to the city detention center. Police are searching for the other person with Campos at the time of the Robbery. The suspect is described as a man who wore all black clothing.
