NVID Arrest

On Friday June 23, 2023, at 9:00 am CCPD Narcotics Vice Investigation Division detectives and animal control officers executed a search warrant at the 4500 block of Molina Drive. When the detectives entered the residence, they detained 30-year-old Brenda Zamora, 24-year-old Julia Garcia and three dogs.

During the search of the residence the detectives located Heroin, Cocaine, THC wax, MDMA (ecstasy), six rifles, one rifle drum magazine, two handguns, digital scales and over a thousand dollars in cash. One of the rifles was found to have been reported stolen.

Brenda Zamora and Julia Garcia were placed into custody, and each were charged with four counts of Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. The dogs were released to a relative at the scene.

Corpus Christi Police Investigators would like help from the public to locate a missing person.

Jesus Rodriguez was reported missing by family members on May 16, 2023. Jesus was last seen on or about May 4, 2023, and is currently homeless.

Jesus is described as a 52-year-old Hispanic male, stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, has brown hair and brown eyes.

POLICE NEED YOUR HELP IDENTIFYING THEFT SUSPECT

Corpus Christi Police Detectives would like your help in identifying this suspect in numerous Theft of Metal cases that occurred in May and June 2023.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Hereford reference multiple thefts of copper wire.

JUVENILE MALE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR CITY’S LATEST HOMICIDE

At approximately 3:09 am on Friday, June 2, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Pennine Way reference an injured party.   Upon arrival officers located a juvenile female outside of the residence with serious injuries. Responding officers administered life savings measures on scene until medic units arrived, at which point the victim was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  Investigators with our Criminal Investigation Division arrived on scene as this was determined to be a Homicide Investigation.  

Through their investigation, Homicide Investigators quickly identified a suspect and were able to determine that the parties were known to each other. Detectives secured a directive to apprehend for a juvenile male in connection with the Murder. 

On Saturday, June 3, 2023, an attorney for the juvenile male identified the whereabouts of the offender and arranged for the juvenile male to turn himself in.  

At approximately 11:51 am, the juvenile male was taken into custody without incident and has since been transported to the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center.

Norvel Victim passes away, Offender arrested on Capital Murder charge

On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, 17-year-old Victor Martinez shot 49-year-old Harold Dilger, while burglarizing his vehicle on the 5900 block of Norvel. Victor Martinez fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival and the victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate and on May 10, 2023, Victor Martinez was placed into custody for Aggravated Robbery. Victor was able to bond out on the original charge of Aggravated Robbery on May 20, 2023.

Friday June 2, 2023, Harold passed away due to his injuries and Robbery Homicide Detectives secured a Capital Murder arrest warrant for Victor with a $750,000.00 bond.

United States Marshal Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender & Fugitive Task Force along with the CCPD Crime Reduction Unit were able to locate Victor and place him into custody on the new warrant.

NUECES COUNTY WANTED SUBJECT

Nueces County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help to locate Rigoberto Alvarez who has an outstanding warrant out of Nueces County for Assault Causes Bodily Injury of a Family Member ($5,000 Bond).

Rigoberto is described as a 49-year-old male, who stands 5’11” feet, weighs approximately 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

UNITED STATES MARSHAL SERVICE WANTED OFFENDER

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, Corpus Christi Office, is seeking assistance in locating 20-year-old fugitive Jose Garcia.

Fugitive Jose Garcia was charged with murder on October 30, 2020. The victim was 14 years old. On October 7, 2021, while on bond fugitive Jose Garcia broke his ankle monitor and has been wanted since then.

It is believed fugitive Jose Garcia whereabouts continue to be in the Corpus Christi area.

The U.S. Marshal elevated this case to Major Case status and is offering a reward up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of fugitive Jose Garcia.

Fugitive Jose Garcia is described as 5’3” FT and approximately 100 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
