The United States Marshal’s Fugitive and Violent Offenders Task Force arrested 28-year-old Christopher Corral (11/18/1987) at a home on the 1500 block of Arlington Drive for several charges related to an overnight shooting on the 600 block of Van Cleve.
Corpus Christi Police generated an aggravated assault investigation after a 33-year-old man made a complaint of injuries as a result of gunfire on the 600 block of Van Cleve at 11:30pm Monday night. Detectives gathered information and evidence from the scene and developed a criminal complaint accusing Corral of aggravated assault, a second degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Corral and Detectives provided the warrant information to the United States Marshal’s Task Force.
The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitives and Violent Offenders Task Force located Corral at an apartment at 1520 Arlington and the Task Force arrested Corral. was arrested for the warrant and additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Tampering With Identification Numbers on Certain Property because of conditions in which the Task Force observed when the Task Force arrested Corral.
The Task Force delivered Corral to Detectives at the Corpus Christi Police Department who in turn delivered Corral to the City Detention Center.

Excitement is building for the 2016 Buccaneer Days Illuminated Night Parade, Saturday, April 30, 2016, 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The big celebration is still a little less than a month away and already dedicated parade watchers are beginning to mark viewing areas along the route.
The City of Corpus Christi would like to remind residents:
Spectators are not allowed to use spray paint when marking their spots.
Residents should use chalk or a non-permanent marker.
If people mark spots with tape, the City asks the material be pulled up and placed in trash bags before the parade begins.
Marked parade spots are not guaranteed.
The City asks everyone to please follow these easy recommendations and also reminds residents camping is not allowed along the route until 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the parade.

Corpus Christi Police assisted other agencies in a search for a missing 16-year-old boy in the water of the Gulf of Mexico near Beach Marker 234 on Padre Island Friday morning.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for help to search for a 16-year-old boy in the water at 10:45am. Officers met a 46-year-old man who told Officers that a 16-year-old boy had gone in the water with a group of people, but the 16-year-old boy had disappeared. The 46-year-old man told Officers the rest of the group was on shore and safe, but they could not find the 16-year-old boy and believed he was still in the water.
Other emergency services agencies responded to the area to search for the boy. The 46-year-old man provided a description of the missing 16-year-old boy as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 150 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, olive tone skin and was last seen wearing black and red swim trunks. The 46-year-old man told Officers the 16-year-old boy is not a resident of the Corpus Christi area.
Corpus Christi Police continue to search the shore of the beach in an effort to locate the 16-year-old boy. The 16-year-old boy remains missing as of 4:30pm April 1, 2016. If anyone has any additional information or is able to locate the boy, they should call the Corpus Christi Police at 361-886-2600 or 911 without delay.
A 13-year-old girl reported an attempted kidnapping on the 3100 block of Ruth Street to the Corpus Christi Police Wednesday afternoon.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of an attempted kidnapping at 5:09pm Wednesday afternoon. A 13-year-old girl told Officers in the presence of her 34-year-old mother that an unknown man grabbed her on the 3100 block of Ruth Street when the 13-year-old girl walked home from school. The 13-year-old girl explained to Officers that she passed a house on Ruth Street and a man followed her until they were in front of Zavala Elementary School. The 13-year-old girl told Officers once in front of the school, the man grabbed her from behind and placed his hand over her mouth and another arm around her chest. The 13-year-old girl told Officers she pulled the man’s hand away from her mouth and screamed. The 13-year-old girl told Officers she hit the man several times until the man ran away. The 13-year-old girl told Officers she went to a nearby home to call for help. The 13-year-old girl reported minor injuries related to the event.
Corpus Christi Police Officers went to the school and were able to obtain video and isolate images of the man. The 13-year-old girl described the man as a 40-year-old male about 5 feet 10 inches tall with tattoos, a black shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes. The Officers obtained images that the man got into a dark four door sedan to leave the area. Detectives would now like your help to identify this man.

Corpus Christi Police are searching for 18-year-old Gilbert Ruiz (2/3/1996) who has a warrant for his arrest for Capital Murder related to the homicide on North Shea Parkway that happened on March 25, 2016.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of gunshots on the 4700 block of North Shea Parkway a few minutes before 1am on March 25th, 2016. Officers found 34-year-old Elisabeth Martinez deceased in a vehicle. An ambulance transported 32-year-old Eric Rodriguez to the hospital where he died on March 28th.
Corpus Christi Police gathered evidence from an Aggravated Robbery in the 5400 block of Hitching Post Court at about 5pm on the same day as the homicide and Investigators discovered a link between the two scenes. Investigators from the Robbery/Homicide unit worked around the clock and were able to obtain arrest warrants for two individuals connected to the Aggravated Robbery.
Corpus Christi Police Detectives informed the United States Marshal’s Fugitive and Violent Offender Task Force of the warrants for Aggravated Robbery related to the robbery on the 5400 block of Hitching Post Lane and on March 30th the Task Force were able to locate and arrest 21-year-old Daniel Martinez (1/16/1995) and 18-year-old Micayla Licea (4/11/1997) on the 5900 block of Wooldridge.
Through further investigation and evaluation of evidence, Detectives were able to obtain a warrant for the arrest of 17-year-old Amador Angel Cerna (03/16/99) for his part in the Aggravated Robbery. Cerna has not been captured as of 4:00pm on March 31, 2016.

Detectives were also able to develop enough information to charge Daniel Martinez with the Capital Murder of Elisabeth Martinez and Eric Rodriguez. Detectives were also able to obtain an arrest warrant for Gilbert Ruiz (02/03/96) for Capital Murder. Both Cerna and Ruiz have not been captured and Detectives would like help from the public to locate them. Amador Cerna is wanted for Aggravated Robbery and Gilbert Ruiz is wanted for Capital Murder. Gilbert Ruiz has been known to drive a green Dodge Ram pick-up with the license plate number TX FHR-2230.
If you know where law enforcement can locate Ruiz or Cerna, do not attempt to apprehend them as they are considered armed and dangerous. The City of Corpus Christi will auction 112 cars, trucks, and motorcycles at the Police Vehicle Impound Lot, located at 5485 Greenwood Drive, on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The auction will start at 10:00 am. There are 26 of the 112 vehicles which were impounded for no insurance.
The general public is encouraged to register and view the vehicles for auction from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016. The general public can continue to view the vehicles from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on the day of the auction.

Corpus Christi Police are investigating a homicide on the 4700 block of North Shea Parkway Friday morning.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a shooting on the 4700 block of North Shea Parkway at a little before one o-clock in the morning and discovered a white four door sedan with two people who appeared to have gunshot wounds. An injured adult male was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of serious head trauma. An adult woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the Officers initiated a homicide investigation.
Corpus Christi Police Homicide Detectives and the Forensics lab technicians responded to gather information and evidence from the crime scene. Detectives have not identified the two victims as of this report so ages are not immediately available. Witnesses have provided information to Detectives, but there is no specific suspect description available for public release until certain details may be verified. Detectives are concerned that there may be witnesses to the event who may not have provided information to Police. The person or persons responsible have not been apprehended and Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate anyone involved.

Wright was apprehended at a home on the 2600 block of Buford in relation to Case Number 1603240138. The arrest was not from Crime Stoppers tips, but from good work by patrol officers.
Justin Wright (4/27/1989) Wanted for Aggravated Robbery

Wright is described as a 25-year-old man who is six feet tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Wright has a scar on his inner right arm, and a tattoo of a bat skull on the top of his back.

Corpus Christi Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened at 4115 Staples Street on Thursday.
Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a bank robbery at 10:50am at a bank located on Staples and Barry Street. The bank employees told Officers that a man with a dark skin complexion who wore a black ball cap, black jacket, dark jeans and white tennis shoes, went into the bank and passed a note to the teller which demanded cash. The bank employees told Officers the man did not display a weapon. The bank employees told Officers the teller provided the man with cash and the man left the bank and ran south from Staples through the parking lot toward Golihar.
No injuries were reported and the man remains at large. Corpus Christi Police Detectives and Forensics Lab Technicians arrived at the bank to gather information and evidence. Detectives would now like help from the public to identify and locate the man who robbed the bank.
