The Corpus Christi Police have obtained warrants for the arrest of Frederick Claude Edison (3/29/1982) for Aggravated Assault and for Unlawful Restraint for an event which happened on December 1, 2014 on the 3400 block of Sterling Drive. Edison is described as a 32-year-old male who stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, is 160 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone who knows how to locate Edison should contact the local Police. The Corpus Christi Police SWAT Team responded to a call for a possible barricaded violent assault suspect on th 3400 block of Sterling Drive Monday night.

A 29-year-old woman asked for help from a resident of the 3500 block of Sterling Drive at 8:16pm Monday night after she was injured in an assault. Corpus Christi Police arrived and the 29-year-old woman explained that the man who injured her was not present, but may be at a home with a young child on the 3400 block of Sterling Drive and has access to firearms.

The 29-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for treatment for her injuries. Officers went to the 3400 block of Sterling Drive and found the suspects vehicle in the driveway. Officers also found the child, unharmed, and the Officers brought the child to safety and to someone who could care for the child.

Officers requested a response from SWAT and the Hostage Negotiation Team in order to establish safe contact with the suspect. The 3400 block of Sterling was closed to traffic from about 10:15pm until about 12:30am when the SWAT team determined the suspect was not in the home.

Anyone who is in a violent relationship should contact local police and report each incident. Resources are available within the community in abundance which can help those in a violent relationship before injuries and property damage gets worse. Corpus Christi Police Detectives have released video surveillance that shows three male suspects that they believe were involved in a shooting that occurred on November 9 at the Bottom’s Up Club located at 5945 Williams Drive.

The video shows the three suspects entering the bar talking to a female at the cash register and paying a cover charge. A short time later the three males return to the cash register complaining that they want their money back.  The bartender informs them that there are no refunds and that they need to leave.

A disturbance between the three males and employees of the club occurred in the parking lot and one of the three suspects gets a handgun from their parked Cadillac.  The suspect fires several shots at the club bouncer and he is struck  twice in the back and once in the shoulder.  The 36 year old male bouncer was transported to Spohn MMC.

Thieves Strike Northwest Business

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying two suspects that removed property and equipment valued at over $4,100 from a business located at 202 Corn Products Road on October 12.

Video surveillance shows a late model Chevrolet truck pulling into the front parking lot of the business facing Hopkins Road.   A short time later two males are seen in the yard and one is holding a battery operated saw.   The second suspect has on a bandanna to cover his nose and mouth area. He is also wearing a pair of safety glasses and carrying a backpack.

Officers discovered the fence facing Corn Products Road was pushed down at the top near the barbed wire where it appears the suspects made access into the yard from the parking lot.

Video Of Hoodie Bandits Released

Corpus Christi Police Detectives have released video surveillance that shows an aggravated robbery Monday morning at a restaurant located at 5212 Weber Road.

The video shows two men walking up to the restaurant and then enter wearing masks and blue hoodie shirts with the hoods up.  Once inside, they display a handgun and steal the cash register. The two suspects leave the restaurant and run toward an apartment complex in the area.  The video shows one of the suspects discharging the gun outside the restaurant as they make their escape.

Detectives Looking For Funny Money Men

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying two men that have been passing counterfeit bills on the south side of the city. One male suspect passed counterfeit one hundred bills at the Barnes and Noble Book Store and the World Market on October 30 and 31. In images captured by store surveillance cameras the Hispanic male is seen in a solid black shirt with a white t-shirt underneath.

Other images show what detectives believe is a different male wearing a black and gray striped shirt and jeans passing a counterfeit fifty dollar bill at the Toys R Us on October 24. At the Toys R Us Store that suspect male is with a white or Hispanic female wearing a gray t-shirt and three small children. Detectives do not think these are the same men but they haven’t ruled out that possibility either

Police Investigate Two Violent Attacks On Waldron In Two Consecutive Days

A 30-year-old woman reported an aggravated robbery to Corpus Christi Police on the 2400 block of Waldron Road Thursday night. The 30-year-old woman told Officers she was approached by an unknown man at 2:39am Thursday morning. The 30-year-old woman told Officers the man placed the blade of a knife against her neck and took money from the woman and walked away. The 30-year-old woman described the man to Officers as a 25-35 year old male about six feet tall, about 185 pounds and wore a red hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, black muddy tennis shoes and smelled of alcohol. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries related to the attack.

A 32-year-old man reported an assault to Corpus Christi Police that happened on the 1800 block of Waldron Road Friday night to his 16-year-old son. The 32-year-old man told Corpus Christi Police Officers that his 16-year-old son rode his bike on the 1800 block of Waldron Road when the 16-year-old boy was approached by an unknown man. The 32-year-old man told Officers the man pushed the 16-year-old boy off the bike and pulled the 16-year-old boy toward a house. The 32-year-old man told Officers his 16-year-old son said he (the 16-year-old boy) punched the man and escaped uninjured. The 32-year-old man told Officers his 16-year-old son described the man as a 18-32 year old male, about 180 pounds, with bleached white hair and a thick Spanish accent.

Police Investigate Aggravated Assault on Devon Street

Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a disturbance in which a man was stabbed on the 4200 block of Devon Street Friday night. Corpus Christi Police were called at 9:54pm and discovered a 29-year-old man with obvious injuries which the Officers said appeared to be stab wounds. The 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injuries. The Officers found several witnesses to the crime and Detectives were summoned to gather information and evidence. Witnesses told Officers the suspect in this case is a heavy-set man with medium brown skin, brown eyes and black hair and left the scene in a silver car, possibly a Chevy Impala with chrome rims and blue lights in the undercarriage. The Detectives took the witnesses to the Police Headquarters to obtain recorded statements. The suspect in this case remains at large and the 29-year-old man was in surgery at the time of this report.

Sean Michael Hough (07/23/1982) is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for a bank robbery that was committed on October 21, 2014 in the 200 block of South Shoreline Blvd. at the International Bank of Commerce. He is 5’8” tall and weighs 135 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. There is a $50,000 bond set on the warrant. Corpus Christi Police Theft Detectives need your help identifying a man that jumped on top of store shelves and attempted to use bolt cutters to cut off a lock inside the HEB Plus! located at 5313 Saratoga Blvd. The suspect began his shopping trip by prying open the cologne case sliding glass door and removing a bottle.  He then forced off the spider wire wrapped around an electric razor. He then placed the cologne in his pocket, and the razor in his boot. The suspect then asks the store manager if they sell bolt cutters, and after being shown where they were, the suspect uses them in an attempt to cut the lock off the security gate where electronics are stored. The thief is unsuccessful at breaking the lock, but does break the bolt cutters in the process.  The gate alarm is activated, and the thief goes to the next aisle over and climbs the shelving and walks on top of the shelves until he reaches the entertainment section and jumps down.  The suspect then steals a wireless audio speaker, which he stuffs in his pants after kneeling down between aisles and cutting off the security webbing.  The suspect appears to be either a white or Hispanic male, 40 to 50 years old wearing jeans, black dress shoes, a white button down shirt, a dark tie and a dark colored Fedora hat. Suspect Uses Stolen Credit Card

Corpus Christi Police Financial Crimes detectives are looking for anyone who recognizes the male suspect in the photos. The suspect allegedly took Wells Fargo Visa cards from a mail box of the victim in front of his home which is located in the 5000 block of Lost Creek Drive. The suspect then used the credit cards at several different locations in the city charging up over $2600 worth of goods and services.
