Corpus Christi Police Officers are investigating a female bank robbery suspect who walked into the Value Bank located at 3757 Staples Street and passed a threatening note to the teller demanding money. The teller gave the female suspect an undetermined amount of money. The female suspect then exited the bank, last seen heading North on S. Staples. The female suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, dark hair with colored streaks, wearing dark shirt and pants and a tan jacket. Police Investigate Shooting on Edwards Street

Corpus Christi Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man on the 200 block of Edwards Street Thursday morning. Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for a shooting at 1:04am and discovered a 52-year-old man with obvious wounds which the officers believed to be caused from gunshots. Corpus Christi Fire Department Emergency Medical Technicians attempted to provide aid to the 52-year-old man, but could not revive the man and he died at the scene. The Officers detained a 41-year-old woman who they believe may have caused the injuries to the man. Detectives from the Corpus Christi Police Robbery/Homicide bureau and Forensics Lab Technicians responded to the scene to gather information and evidence. Detectives believe they have contacted all the suspects in this case but encourage any person who knows anything about this event to call the Robbery/Homicide Detectives at 886-2841. The Corpus Christi Police Department has obtained a warrant for the arrest of 38-year-old Jonathan Michaud (8/16/1975) for Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child; a first degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Detectives from the Corpus Christi Police Department would like help from the public to locate Michaud. Detectives say Michaud was last seen in Rockport, Texas and believe Michaud is still in the area.

Michaud is described as a white male who stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who has any information to help Detectives locate Michaud should contact the nearest Police Department and should not approach or attempt to apprehend Michaud. UPDATE

On April 4, 2014 at approx 6:30pm CCPD officers in cooperation with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force located the wanted suspect, Jonathan Michaud (8/16/1975), at the 11800 Block of S.P.I.D. Officers confronted Michaud and ordered him to surrender. Michaud shot himself and was then taken into custody. Machaud was transported to a local hospital where he died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a woman who broke into 20 kiosks in the mall and stole money on Monday, March 31, 2014 between 6:50am and 7:30am. The Corpus Christi Police Officers who responded to the complaint learned that a woman broke into the kiosks while the mall was open for “mall walkers,” but the stores were closed. Corpus Christi Police Detectives obtained the surveillance video in which the woman walks from one kiosk to the other and commits the criminal mischief and theft. The woman met up with a man outside the mall and walked away.

The woman is described as a female with medium brown skin, about 30 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 180 pounds, has brown hair and wore a black jacket, dark shirt, denim pants, tennis shows and carried a yellow plastic bag. Men Steal Bench from Church

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify or locate the people responsible for a theft that happened January 27, 2014 at 1:43 in the afternoon at the Messiah Lutheran Church located at 4102 Trinity River Drive.

A 57-year-old man reported the theft to the Corpus Christi Police and has provided video of the event. The video shows a man dressed in a long sleeve shirt, denim shorts, white tennis shoes with sunglasses on his head as he peered into the church. The man then gets a tool to unfasten the bench from in front of the church. A second man comes up to help the man until they take the bench which is valued at $400 dollars. Police Investigate 7th Homicide of 2014

The Corpus Christi Police Robbery/Homicide Detectives are investigating the 7th Homicide of 2014 at 4322 Kostoryz Thursday. Corpus Christi Police went to an apartment to conduct a welfare check of a 50-year-old woman at 10:00am at the request of the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office. Corpus Christi Police discovered the 50-year-old woman was deceased and had injuries to merit a homicide investigation.

Corpus Christi Police have detained a man and are exploring information and evidence to determine if that man is responsible for the injuries to the woman. Police Capture Suspect in Duhart Murder Case

The Corpus Christi Police Department and the Gulf Coast Fugitives and Violent Offenders Task Force apprehended 38-year-old John Luera (5/21/1975) for the murder of Walter Duhart. The Corpus Christi Police Department Robbery/Homicide Detectives would like to thank the public for the help to provide information to the Detectives to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Luera on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. The Gulf Coast Fugitives and Violent Offenders Task Force and Corpus Christi Police Officers arrested Luera at 1:57pm the same day the warrant was issued at an apartment complex parking lot on the 1200 block of Winnebago Street. Officers delivered Luera to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police are investigating a murder that happened on the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Drive at 7:08pm Wednesday night. Corpus Christi Police responded to a complaint of a shooting and found a 43-year-old man on the ground with gunshot wounds. The 43-year-old man was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but did not survive his injuries. Corpus Christi Police Homicide Detectives arrived on the scene to gather information and evidence.

Responding Officers searched for a silver or gray Chevy Lumina four door vehicle that witnesses said may have been involved in this case. Detectives continue to gather information to establish a suspect description.

UPDATE: Detectives have obtained information from witnesses and evidence that the shooter was not in the vehicle and would have been walking. The shooter then got into the four door Chevy and left the scene. It is not a random shooting as the victim may have known the shooter. Detectives continue to search for the shooter and the suspect vehicle that has been described as a Chevrolet four door vehicle, either silver or grey in color with a spoiler.

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public solve a theft of a wallet at a hospital located at 7101 South Padre Island Drive on February 2, 2014. A 29-year-old woman reported her wallet stolen from a bathroom of the hospital at 1:30pm. Corpus Christi Police have reviewed surveillance video and have a man and a woman who Detectives believe may have information about this case.

The woman had her hair pulled into a pony tail, and she wore glasses, a black sleeveless shirt, blue shorts and black shoes. The man wore glasses, a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes. The man and the woman were seen leaving the hospital in a gray van.

Offense: Evading Arrest (Penal Code Section 38.04) Class A Misdemeanor

Case Number: 1403180122

Corpus Christi Police arrested 23-year-old Rocardo Landa (5/10/1990) for evading arrest and for obstructing a highway on South Padre Island Drive at Behmann Street Tuesday night. A Corpus Christi Police Officer on routine patrol saw Landa cross the freeway as a pedestrian which the Officer recognized as an unreasonably unsafe act. The Officer confronted Landa about the violation and Landa ran from the Officer. The Officer chased and captured Landa and arrested him for evading arrest, which is punishable by up to a year in jail and up to a $4,000 fine, and for obstructing the highway which is punishable by up to 6 months in jail and up to a $2,000 fine. The Officer then delivered Landa to the city detention center.

A 59-year-old man reported several burglaries to Goodwill Industries locations in Corpus Christi to the Corpus Christi Police Monday. The 59-year-old man told Officers some unknown person or persons have broken locks to their trailers and stolen the items from inside the trailers on five separate occasions in Corpus Christi in the past several days. The 59-year-old man told Officers the locations targeted by the thieves are 5601 Kostoryz Road, 2306 Airline Road, 1805 Rodd Field Road, and twice at 6526 Staples Street.

Corpus Christi Police acted on a Crime Stoppers tip and arrested 20-year-old Jason Stahley for Possession of Marijuana at an apartment located at 5901 Weber Road Wednesday morning. Corpus Christi Police Patrol Officers investigated the claim that narcotics sales were conducted at the apartment and the Officers discovered marijuana. Officers arrested Stahley and delivered him to the city detention center.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a crash in which a vehicle struck a building at 4025 Prescott Street Tuesday afternoon. Officers learned a 75-year-old woman mistook the accelerator for the brake when she attempted to park and caused her maroon 1993 Ford F-150 pickup to strike the front of the building. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. The owner of the building estimated the crash caused $15,000 dollars of damage to the building.

Corpus Christi Police have obtained a warrant for Tyhler Grothe-Huskey (9/25/1992) for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at the 3700 block of Piedra Creek on December 12, 2013. Grothe-Huskey is described as a male with light color skin, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. The last known address for Grothe-Huskey was on Post Oak Circle in Corpus Christi. The bond amount for Grothe-Huskey has been set at $7,500 dollars.
