Corpus Christi Police are investigating the homicide of 70-year-old Charles Lee Noack who was found murdered in his home on June 4th, 2013. At the time of his murder, Noack’s vehicle was also found to be missing and believed stolen.
On June 5, 2013, at 2:30pm a Patrol Officer searching for the stolen grey Ford Escort found the unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of the Weber Square Apartments.
During their investigation, detectives developed information leading them to Jacob Alan Crow (05/30/81) and his involvement in the theft of Noack’s vehicle. Homicide Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Crow charging him with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (U.U.M.V.). Witnesses indicated that Crow had been driving the victim’s vehicle after Noack’s murder.
On June 5, 2013 at 9:46pm, Officers arrested Crow at Weber Square Apartments located at 5220 Weber Road for the U.U.M.V. warrant. He was booked at the City Detention Center. Crow was additionally charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.
Homicide/Robbery Lt. K. Isaacks stated, “The Homicide Investigation is still in the preliminary stages. We are still in the process of evaluating all of the physical evidence and interviewing all possible witnesses.” The investigation is still ongoing and will be referred to the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office when concluded.
