The Corpus Christi Police Department responded to 1046 calls for service and generated 212 reports for formal criminal complaints from 7:00 a.m. January 14 to 7:00 a.m. on January 15, 2016. These are samples of the criminal complaints filed by the Corpus Christi Police for that time period.

Two employees of Macy’s, located at La Palmera Mall, were arrested by Corpus Christi Police after other store employees saw them ringing up items and then deleting the transactions.

Officers were contacted by store management after they discovered two of their employees had rung up $528 worth of merchandise and then deleted the transaction in an attempt to steal the property.

Officers arrested the two employees, Dora Lee Herrera (01/04/1990) and Marina Reyes (07/05/1991) for theft, a Class B misdemeanor.

Corpus Christi Police arrested a mother after they found she was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol with her child in the car in the 1600 block of Nile Drive.

An Officer responding to a disturbance call at an apartment complex saw the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta pulling out of the parking lot and onto the street and stopped the car thinking it was involved.  It turned out, the driver had been involved in the disturbance that was going on inside one of the apartments.

The Officer contacted the female driver, Crystal Artelt (04/15/1989), and after an investigation it was determined she was intoxicated.  Also in the car was her 10 year old daughter.

The female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a felony offense.

The child was released to her father.

Corpus Christi Police were called after a 35 year old man walked into Spohn Memorial Medical Center with a stab wound to his back.

The victim told Officers that he was stabbed by a Hispanic female at a car wash on Nueces Bay Boulevard. Officers went to that location in an attempt to locate a crime scene but did not find one. The victim was not very uncooperative with Officers in the investigation and only provided them with limited information.

The victims injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
