Offense: Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
Case Number: 1708050066

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 3829 IH 69 Access (Wal-Mart parking lot) in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who advised that someone broke into his truck. The victim stated that he went in to Wal-Mart and set his alarm on his truck. When he came out approximately ten minutes later he noticed his lights were flashing. He reset his alarm and when he got to his truck he noticed his back driver side window to be broken. The victim checked his vehicle and advised police that nothing appeared to be missing.

A witness advised the victim that he observed two dark complected males park to the left of the victims truck in a Jeep with paper tags. The witness stated that one of the males broke the back window and attempted to get into the truck through the window. The suspects were startled and fled the scene taking nothing from the vehicle. The victim told officers that he had stopped at a bank drive thru and withdrew some money. He remembers seeing a Jeep in the parking lot and thinks they may have followed him from the bank.

Right now detectives have little to go on. CCPD wants to remind everyone to be aware of their surroundings and to not leave valuables or cash in your car.
