The 76th Corpus Christi Police Academy started today July 17, 2017. The 21 police cadets (16 men and 5 women) start their 31 week journey into becoming a sworn police officer on February 16, 2018. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to them serving the citizens of Corpus Christi.

Help Detectives Identify This Alleged Thief

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this alleged thief. The female walked into the liquor store and took several premium bottles of liquor. The suspect left the store only to return a short time later to take a couple more bottles. The suspect was wearing shorts, a maroon colored hoodie, large hoop earrings, black hat and possibly left in a 4 door black sedan.
The female has not been apprehended and Detectives want your help to identify this suspect. Offense: Burglary, MC Warrants, Possession of a Controlled Substance

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 1938 Ennis Joslin (Aspen Heights apts.) in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival officers were contacted by the 19 year old female victim. The victim advised that a former roommate had broke into her apartment and was asleep in her bed. Officers detained the 24 year old male suspect. The victim advised that approximately 3 weeks ago the suspect turned in his keys, moved out and no longer had access to the apartment. The suspect went on to the balcony, forced a widow open (breaking it) and entered the apartment. The suspect then went through her apartment eating her food, moving her purse and taking approximately $100 dollars. Officers observed the apartment to be in disarray and spaghetti on the end of the bed where the suspect was sleeping. Officers arrested Daniel Powell (02-09-1993) for burglary. He was also found to have pills, marijuana and 2 municipal court warrants for his arrest. He was transported to the City Detention Center.

Offense: Aggravated Assault, Public Intoxication

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 4535 SPID (Izzy’s) in reference to a fight with weapons. Upon arrival officers observed multiple subjects and one of them holding a knife. Officers detained the 29 year old male suspect. Officers contacted the 35 year old male victim, an employee of the bar, who stated the suspect was with a group of people inside the bar. One subject in the group was intoxicated and not allowed to have any more drinks. Other people in the group were sneaking drinks to that suspect and were asked to leave when caught by the staff. When the subjects were asked to leave the suspect became aggressive towards the victim. The bouncers got involved and forcibly removed the subjects from the bar and were hit while escorting them out. Once outside the suspect, instead of leaving, pulled out a knife and told the victim and other employees “what now?” Employees feared for their safety and called the police. Officers arrived and arrested Jason Paul Ramirez (06-26-1988) for aggravated assault and Primitivo Thomas Molina (08-14-1990) for public intoxication. Both suspects were transported to the City Detention Center.

Police are looking for the following two individuals that were involved in a stabbing that occurred today (7/2/17) at Lowes, 1530 Airline.

Corpus Christi Detectives need your help identifying this suspected thief. The male suspect forced his way into a locked fenced in area. Once inside he went to a trailer with lawn mowing equipment on it removing a couple of weed eaters and a blower from the trailer. The suspect then left the scene.

Offense: Aggravated Assault

Corpus Christi Police Offices were dispatched to the 1900 block of Comanche in reference to an assault with injuries. The call advised that a female hit a male in the head with a pipe. Officers arrived and contacted the 69 year old male victim in his wheelchair. The victim had a large laceration to his head, a laceration to his pinky and was covered in blood. The victim advised that he was trying to get the 34 year old female off of his porch because she was high on spray paint. The suspect refused to leave, got a golf club and began striking the victim. The victim advised he did not know how many times he was struck. A witness advised that he saw the suspect huffing paint outside. The victim was inside when he heard screaming on the porch and saw the suspect holding the golf club and the victim covered in blood. He stated that the suspect began kissing the victim saying she was sorry and then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Spohn Shoreline with non-life threatening injuries. Officers checked the area and were not able to located the suspect.
While officers were at the hospital they received a call that the suspect returned to Comanche. Officers went back to the location and arrested Jessica Reyna (12-23-1982) for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was transported to the City Detention Center without incident.

Offense: Deadly Conduct, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Devon in reference to a disturbance with a gun. The call advised that a white male in a blue shirt was shooting at the victims house and he left in a teal green Chevy S 10 pickup. Officers arrived and made contact with the 40 year old female and 58 year old male victims. The were both visibly shaken. The female victim advised she was standing in her yard when a male got out of a maroon pickup wearing a blue shirt. She stated that the suspect appeared intoxicated. She advised that the suspect accused her of stealing and asked for her son. She stated that the suspect made threats towards her and left the area. The victim advised about ten minutes later she was on the porch with the male victim when they observed a greenish vehicle slowly drive by and park around the corner. The victim advised the same suspect got out of the vehicle and he was carrying a shotgun. She yelled he’s got a gun and both victims ran inside fearing for their lives. They could hear the suspect shout “stay right there, y’all don’t move.” The victim advised she heard one shot and observed a muzzle flash. The victim called police and hid for fear of the suspect shooting at them. The victim told officers that she recognized the vehicles from the area of Maryland street.
Officers went to the area of 1400 Maryland St. and observed the suspect vehicle in the front yard. Officers contacted and detained two subjects. Officers investigated and determined the intoxicated 28 year old male was involved. The witness was brought to the scene and identified the suspect. Officers arrested Shane Reese Tilley (06-05-1989). The officers located the shotgun at the suspects residence and found 1 spent 12 gauge shotgun shell at the victims house. The suspect was transported to the City Detention Center. Neither of the victims were injured.

Offense: Driving While License Suspended, Duty to notify on Striking a fixture

Corpus Christi Police Offices were dispatched to the area of 1500 Ocean Drive in reference to a single vehicle traffic accident/crash. The call was updated and advised that a female wearing glasses, a blue tank top, tan shorts and a purse fled the scene on foot. Officers arrived and observed a silver Kia Amanti partially in the roadway. It appeared that the vehicle left the roadway striking an AEP light pole and some bushes. Other officers checked the area and located a female matching the description in the area of Alameda St. and Texas Ave. Officers noticed a red mark on her right forearm and during the investigation determined that she was the driver of the vehicle. The suspect was found to have a suspended license. She also left the scene of the accident and made no effort to notify AEP that she struck the light pole. Officers arrested Anne Marie Ramirez (01-11-1985) and transported her to the City Detention Center.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this suspected thief. An employee of Amans Jewelers was setting out jewelry on a center table. A unknown male suspect jumped on the counter reaching and grabbing 2 ring displays valued at over $30,000. The suspect then flees the scene. The suspect was clean shaven wearing a dark shirt and shorts. He also had tattoos on both of his forearms.

UPDATE ON MISSING PERSON
Kaeli Rosales was contacted by the police at 11:30 AM. Officers spoke with her and verified that she was safe and unharmed.
Possible Abduction from the Downtown Area
Corpus Christi Police Officers need your help locating 20 year old Kaeli Rosales. She was last seen in the downtown area near the Whataburger around 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM this evening. She might have been abducted by two dark complected males with no hair driving a white van with no windows. It is possible that the van was at a park earlier this evening. Kaeli is 5 feet 2 inches tall weighing 125 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Officers have been unable to reach Kaeli on her cell phone.

Offense: Theft of Service, Warrant of Arrest, Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 6773 SPID at the Wyatt Hotel for a theft not in progress. Officers arrived and contacted the manager and the 40 year old female suspect. The manager advised that the suspect could not pay for her room charges and was about to leave when police arrived. The manager advised that the suspect checked in at an earlier time under a different name that was listed on a credit card. A little later the Hotel was contacted by the credit card holder and advised that she did not authorize the use of her card. The manager questioned the suspect who began to change her story about the use of the card and that is when the police were called. The responding officers found the suspect to have a warrant for parole violation (original charge of organized crime) out of Austin. Officers arrested Crystal Pancoast (09-01-1976) for the warrant and theft of service. Search incident to arrest officers located pipes, rolling papers, a syringe and 19 pills not belonging to the suspect in a prescription bottle. Officers also located checks and other financial information not belonging to the suspect. The officers were unable to contact any of the victims and turned the information over to the CCPD financial crimes unit. Crystal was transported to the City Detention Center.

Offense: Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 3600 Dalraida in reference to a disturbance in progress. The call stated that the suspect was hitting people with a bat and breaking vehicle windows. As the officer arrived in the area he was contacted by a citizen who stated that a suspect was going crazy and directed the officer to the area. The call was updated that a citizen was restraining the suspect. The officer arrived and observed a suspect holding the suspect on the ground. The suspect was taken into custody and placed in a unit while officers investigated.
Officers contacted a witness who advised that he kicked the 25 year old male out of his apartment because he had not paid him rent. The suspect left and came back later in a rage to gather his belongings. The suspect was cursing at the witness and then turned his rage on citizens walking up to the complex. A 18 year old female victim arrived at the complex and was confronted by the suspect. The suspect was carrying what looked like sticks and pointed at the victim. She turned and ran and stated she felt the suspect hit her in the rib cage. The suspect turned his attention to a 17 year old male striking him in the right wrist after he told the suspect to stop. The suspect then broke out windows to two cars before he was detained by a citizen. The suspect used a pool cue stick to strike the victims and break the vehicle windows. The victims were treated at the scene. Officers arrested Zachary Lee Murray (07-15-1991) for aggravated assault and criminal mischief. He was transported to the City Detention Center.
