“Adam” District

Offense: Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine (Penal Code Section 30.03) Class A misdemeanor.

Case Numbers: 1310240022, 1310240031, 1310240045, 1310240050

The Corpus Christi Police is investigating several burglaries that are possibly related. Washers and dryers had their coin boxes pried open and the contents were removed.  If you have any information please contact property crimes call 361-886-2841.

“Charlie” District

Location: Weber and Holly Rd.

Offense: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (HS 481.125) Class C Misdemeanor,  Possession of a Controlled Substance (HS 481.115) State Jail Felony

Case Number: 1310240144

Officers A. Flores  and P. Janko stopped a motorcycle for a traffic violation. During the contact the operator of the motorcycle was found with a balance scale with a white powdery substance that the officers believed to be Methamphetamine.  There was not a useable amount of Meth to charge the suspect. Daniel Nugent (12/06/65) was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested. At the City Detention Center, a clear blue bag containing a white powdery substance that the officers believed to be Methamphetamine was located in Nugent’s wallet. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Offense: Using a Cell Phone in a school zone, Outstanding Warrants

Case Number: 1310240029

Senior Officer Dwayne Kelley was working a School Zone at King HS when he stopped a vehicle for the driver using a cell phone in a School Zone. He contacted Santa Veronica Vasquez 12/15/73. She was found to have an outstanding Contempt of Court Warrant out of Nueces County with No Bond, as well as 2 Municipal Court Warrants for $828.00. She was arrested without incident and transported to the City Detention Center.

“Delta” District

Date: Thursday, October 24, 2013, 23:18

Location: 1900 Van Loan,

Offense: Deadly Conduct (Penal Code 22.05) 3rd Degree Felony

Case Number: 1310240169

Patrol officers contacted a victim  who stated that she had bought some “legal weed” from an unknown female suspect and did not like the way it tasted. When she saw the suspect later , she confronted her and took her money back that was sitting on her lap.  She stated that the suspect went to her house and started banging on her door demanding her money back or else she was going to “spray” her house.  The victim stated that the knocking stopped and then she heard several shots being fired and striking her house.  4 bullet holes were found in the house and 3 casings out in the street.  There were no injuries and no arrests at this time. “Bravo” District

Location: Park Road 22 and Sea Pines

Offense: Racing on Highway, (TC545.420) B misdemeanor

Case Number: 1310130156

Officers J. Swain and J. McGinley observed two Chevy Camaros  and a Ford Mustang that were preparing to race. Both units set up and waited. The Camaros began to race, and the Mustang joined the competition. All three vehicles were stopped. The drivers were Cesar Campos 09/02/1986, Raymond Burciagia 08/08/1993, and Austin Garrett 12/17/1993.  All three were arrested for racing.
