ARREST MADE IN OVERNIGHT HOMICIDE.

On Thursday May 23, 2024, at approximately 03:05 AM, Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Lansdown Dr in reference to a shooting call. Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the torso. The male was transported to a local hospital where he has since passed from his injuries. The preliminary information at this time is there was a disturbance that escalated into a shooting. 30-year-old Ashlyn Orr was arrested and booked in the city detention center. Orr will be charged with murder.

Deceased body located

On Monday May 20, 2023 at 12:04PM, Corpus Christi Police Officers were called to 1400 N Shoreline Blvd in reference to a body located in the water.

After conducting a preliminary investigation, detectives believe there to be no foul play. This is an on-going investigation at this time. 

Burglary of a Building

Police are looking to identify the male walking in the video. The male is a suspect in a burglary of a business that occurred last week in the 4200 block of S. Alameda St.  in the overnight hours. A gold Chevy Impala was also involved and seen leaving the area.

SOCIAL MEDIA THREATS

The Copus Christi Police Department is aware of the threats made to a local school that were circulating on social media yesterday. Once the department was made aware officers began to investigate to locate the source.

At approximately 10:30 pm last night the 14-year-old male juvenile was located and identified. He was taken into custody and transported to the Nueces County Juvenile Justice center. He was charged with terroristic threat.

The safety and security of our citizens is our highest priority, and we take all threats made toward our campuses, students, and staff seriously.

Aggravated Robbery

Police are looking to identify the two young males in this video. The two are suspects in an aggravated robbery that occurred last week in the 500 block of Airline Rd.

Both males were described to be Hispanic, stand approximately 5’6” and weigh 140 pounds. One male was wearing a white hoodie and the other a grey hoodie.

Reports of Threats at a local High School

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at approximately noon, the Corpus Christi Police Department was made aware of a possible threat at the location of 754 Flato Road (West Oso High School).  

Corpus Christi Police Department officers arrived to the school and immediately started an investigation.  Their investigation found that there was never a threat to the school. The school was initially placed on locked down while officers conducted their investigation, and the lockdown has since been lifted.

ROBBERY OF AN ELDERLY MALE

CCPD Detectives need your assistance in identifying the male suspect pictured below. The male suspect robbed an elderly male on an early morning after he withdrew cash from an ATM at a local store. The suspect took the victim’s wallet which contained cash and debit cards.

The suspect left the scene in a silver 4 door passenger car.
