Police Want Help to Solve Academy Yeti Caper

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate three people involved in a theft of Yeti coolers last October from the Academy Sports store located at 5001 South Padre Island Drive.

A store employee reported the thefts to Corpus Christi Police on October 14, 2016 and explained that three unknown people went into the store at about 9:45pm on October 11 and stole yeti coolers valued at $1,600 dollars. The employee explained that two men and a woman entered the store together, then the woman left the store while the two men took Yeti coolers and walked out the back door of the store without paying for the coolers. The three suspects then left the area in a dark, four door car. The three people have not been captured. Corpus Christi Police Detectives have been provided video of the three people and want your help to identify and locate these thieves.

Detectives Want Help From Public To Capture Halloween Burglar

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man accused of a burglary to a business maintenance shed on October 31, 2016.

A 54 year old woman reported the burglary to Corpus Christi Police on the morning of October 31, 2016. The 54 year old woman told Officers her employees notified her that some unknown person forced entry into a shed. The 54 year old woman provided video images of the burglary and Detectives now want help from the public to identify and locate the man in the video.

The man in the video accused of burglary is described by Detectives as an adult male with black hair, goatee, tattoos on his forearms and wore dark shorts and a dark shirt at the time of the burglary. The unknown man is seen jumping the fence, and breaking into the shed and building in the video.

Police Want Help to Find Person Who Stole $3,000 Swing From Public Park

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate the person who stole a swing valued at $3,200 dollars from Barclay Park on December 15, 2016.

A 42 year old woman reported the theft to Corpus Christi Police and explained that she is the manager of a Homeowners Association which owns the equipment in the park which was stolen. The 42 year old woman told Officers that 2 unknown adult men went to the park in a blueish green Chevy Cavalier and stole the “Bird’s Nest” swing. The 42 year old woman provided Detectives with surveillance video that shows the suspect vehicle.

Police Want Help To Identify Optical Store Burglar

Corpus Christi Police want help from the public to identify and locate a man who did a burglary at an Optical store located at 4124 Ayers Street on November 29, 2106.

A 50 year old man reported the burglary to Corpus Christi Police at 3:39am on November 29 after the 50 year old man was alerted by an alarm at the business. The 50 year old man told Officers he found a door damaged and about $1,200 dollars worth of frames missing. The 50 year old man told Officers he had closed circuit video of a man who forced entry into the store and took the frames. The burglar has not been captured and Detectives want help from the public to identify and locate this man.

The suspect is described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 200 pounds, and wore a gray pull over top and bottom at the time of the burglary.

Man Reports Insurance Fraud Under False Police Name

A 28 year old man reported a case of insurance fraud to the Corpus Christi Police on the 800 block of Stone Street Tuesday evening  in which the organization claimed to be associated with law enforcement.

The 28 year old man told Officers he responded to an online registration for a child safety kit which asked for names of parents and children to be registered.  The 28 year old man told Officers the persons claimed to be representatives of the “Texas Association of Police.” The 28 year old man told Officers the persons went to his home address to register for an “Amber Alert” and schedule another visit to start an insurance claim.  The 28 year old man showed Officers a paper with a letterhead that used a state symbol on it and uses the names of real people associated with law enforcement.  The letter offers insurance which the 28 year old man told Officers he does not believe is legitimate.

Police advise that customers should verify that insurance sales are conducted by licensed agents, know how to contact insurance organization representatives at any time, and do not provide personal financial information like a bank name and account number unless you have initiated the contact to a reputable organization.

Need Help Catching this Thief

Police Detectives need your help identifying this thief. The suspects are observed opening the gate and driving in to the fenced off area of the business. The suspect vehicle enters the area and connects to a towable industrial piece of equipment and driving away. The suspects make off with three trailers valued over $30,000. The vehicle appears to be a Ford 4-door pick with a long cargo bed.

Endangering a Child

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 1601 Agnes in reference to a disturbance between a male and a female with a gun. The couple were having a disturbance in a red Mitsubishi car. Officers arrived and observed the red car with the male and female inside. As officers were carefully approaching the male, who was in the drivers seat, he began to drive away. Officers gave numerous verbal and hand signals to stop. The driver refused and drove away at a high rate of speed nearly hitting a officer. The officers got into the marked patrol unit and tried to catch up to the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle which crashed into a house in the 300 block of 16th Street.

Officers arrived and observed the male and female getting out of the car. The male was attempting to walk away. Officers detained the male who immediately complained that his leg was hurting and did not mention anyone else that might have been injured. Officers called for a medic to check the male suspect. At the same time the 25 year old female was yelling “My baby, my baby.” Officers checked the vehicle and observed a 7 year old female screaming with blood coming from her face. The child was stuck between the passenger door frame and the front passenger seat. Officers smelled gas and feared that the vehicle might catch fire. Officers had to break the window and force the seat away from the child in order to remove her from the vehicle. Medics arrived and treated the child for several lacerations to her forehead.

Officers arrested Brendann Williams (11-08-1990) for evading in a motor vehicle and endangering a child. A search incident to arrest revealed that Brendann had what appeared to be crack cocaine in his pants pocket. Brendann had to be medically cleared and was then transported to the City Detention Center. At CDC, Brendann was found pills and marijuana hidden in the area of his crotch. The investigation is still ongoing and there is a possibility that the 25 year old female could be charged in this case.

Stripes Robbery Suspect

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this suspect involved in a recent robbery. The suspect is observed on camera entering the Stripes at 1050 Nueces Bay. He waits in line until other customers leave the store before he pulls a knife and robs the store. The suspect takes an unknown amount of money and then flees the store.

Police Seek Help to Identify Burglary Suspect

Corpus Christi Police Property Crimes Detectives would like help from the public to identify and locate a man who Detectives believe may be involved in a home burglary on Queen Bess Drive Wednesday.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer generated an offense report when a person told the Officer that an unknown man entered their garage without permission and took tools without the owners consent. The Officer’s report explains that the unknown man was dropped off near the home in what appeared to be an older model silver towncar.  The unknown man held a note pad and had a tape measure attached to his pants.  The Officer stated the suspect walked into the open garage and stole a Dewalt saw.  The Officer gathered images of the man from the complainant.

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to 9552 SPID at the Navy Army Federal Credit Union in reference to a robbery. Officers arrived and contacted the employees. Officers were advised that a male suspect wearing a red hoodie, sunglasses, blue jeans and something red covering his face came in to the business, went up to a teller and demanded money. The suspect then left on foot in an unknown direction with a undetermined amount of money.
