Theft, Flour Bluff Wal-Mart

Investigators with the Robbery/Homicide Division are asking for the your assistance in identifying the individual responsible for a Theft at Wal-mart located at 1250 Flour Bluff Dr.

The unidentified individual entered the store and pretended to do some shopping, all the while concealing several items in his clothing. He then proceeded to exit the store without paying for any of the items.

Store personal then asked the individual to re-enter the store in order to discuss the issue of the concealed items. At which time, the subject began to forcibly push store personal in an attempt to make his get-away.

The subject is described as a White male in his mid forties to mid fifties, 6’1″ to 6’2″ in height, 250 to 270 lbs., wearing a camouflage jacket, sunglasses, a khaki shirt and grey pant.

He fled the area in a newer model Ford F150 truck west bound on Highway 358.

Detectives Investigate City’s First Homicide of 2012

Shortly after 5:30 pm, police and medical units were dispatched to 215 Aberdeen reference a female down in her residence. When they arrived they located both the female and her estranged husband lying on the floor next to each other. The 71-year-old couple were not responsive and appeared to be deceased from gunshot wounds.

Upon further investigation it was learned that the individuals were involved in a domestic relationship and had been having some issues. Investigators were able to determine that the estranged husband arrived at the residence and a disturbance ensued, which led to the unfortunate results.  The preliminary investigation conducted by Homicide Detectives appears to indicate that the man shot the woman first before turning the gun on himself.

A firearm was located in the crime scene and tagged as evidence.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.

Missing Person Rene Ann Conard Found Safe

Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 75-year-old Rene Ann Conard who has not been seen since December 23, 2011.

Officers received a call asking for help in locating Conard to check on her welfare, but were unable to locate her. Conard is believed to be in the company of her caregiver and there is concern for her safety and well-being. The caregiver is driving Conard’s white 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, TX handicap license plate 3FPCB. The vehicle has a yellow striping on the lower panels.

Rene Ann Conard is a White female, 5’9″ feet tall and weighs 175 lbs. She has gray hair and green eyes. Her caregiver is an Asian female, 5’6″ feet tall and weighs 185 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone having any information regarding Rene Ann Conard’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Police Department at 361-886-2600 or the Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Detective Ramiro Torres at 361-548-0975.

Missing Person Rene Ann Conard has been found safe. We appreciate both the community and Media’s assistance which has enabled Ms. Conard to be located shortly after her missing status was announced.

Missing Elderly Possible Foul Play Suspected

Wanted Subject from Beeville Police Dept.

The Beeville Police Department’s Homicide and Robbery Division is asking for the public’s help in locating Javier Omar Hernandez 2.15.89.

Hernandez was involved in a home invasion robbery in Beeville on Monday November 14, 2011.  Hernandez is 22 years old and is described as 5’10” with black hair and brown eyes.

There is currently an active Aggravated Robbery warrant for his arrest.

The subject is described as a medium built male, wearing a light-colored shirt and jeans. He was seen arriving at the location as a passenger in a dark-colored four door vehicle.

ATTF Seeks Auto Burglary/Credit Card Abuse Suspect

Auto Theft Task Force investigators need your help in identifying the individual responsible for the auto burglary and credit card abuse that occurred on Dec. 5, 2011 in the 13500 blk of Peseta Ct.

The suspect is described as a white male, short dark hair, 18-22 years of age. At the time of the credit card abuse he was wearing a white shirt dark stripes and jeans.

He was driving, what appears to be a dark-colored SUV possibly a Honda Element.

Murder Suspect Arrested, Son Found Safe

Occurred on 12/12/2011    7:36 a.m.,   Murder   109 Highwood Street    1112120024

911/MetroCom dispatchers received a call, at 7:36 a.m., for a shooting at 109 Highwood. Officers and medics were dispatched and responded to the home, which is located within Jackson Woods Mobile Home Park at 3701 McKenzie. Upon their arrival, Officers found a   31-year-old female victim deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses reported to Officers that the victim’s live-in boyfriend showed up at their home and forced his way inside.  The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, chased the victim to her parent’s bedroom and shot the victim. The suspect then left the home with his 8-year-old son, who had been at the home at 109 Highwood.

Further investigation revealed the suspect had possibly fled to his residence in Alice, TX in a blue 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. A B.O.L.O. was put out on the vehicle. Officers from the Alice Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, the Coastal Bend Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, along with C.C.P.D.’s  S.W.A.T. and Hostage Negotiation Team worked together to locate the suspect at his residence.

At the location the victim’s son, who was uninjured, was released by the suspect Jose Gonzales III (09/12/67). Gonzales turned himself in shortly thereafter.

The Murder investigation is active and ongoing and will be conducted by the Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Bureau with the cooperation of the Alice Police Department.

Update:

On 12/12/11, Corpus Christi Police Department Homicide/Robbery Detectives transported and booked Jose Gonzales III (09/12/67) at the Corpus Christi Police Department City Detention Center.  He was charged with Murder and his bond set at $250,000. Gonzales is currently booked at the Nueces County Jail.

Bank Robbery Suspects in Custody

UPDATE AT 9:24 p.m., 12/6/2011             4:00pm  Robbery (Suspects Arrested)    3640 Leopard (Safari Inn)

At around 4:oo p.m. Officers and U.S. Marshals with the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force located a possible suspect, in the Charter Northwest Bank Robbery, near the Safari Inn at 3640 Leopard. Further investigation led them to a room where three other individuals were located within at the hotel. All four of the individuals were detained and transported to the Police Main Station for questioning.

Detectives were able to identify Victor Gutierrez (1.22.1968) as the person in the video surveillance footage from the robbery. He was charged. While awaiting transport to jail, Gutierrez claimed a medical emergency. Medic units responded to the Main Station and transported Gutierrez to the hospital to be seen by physicians, while still under guard by Officers. Once cleared at the hospital, Gutierrez was transported to the City Detention Center.

The female seen on the video, Francisca Cuellar (3.2.1984) was arrested on a Parole Violation and taken to the City Detention Center. Detectives will continue the investigation to determine her role in the Robbery.

The two other individuals were interviewed and released by Detectives.

 

 

Occurred on 12/06/11, 12:29 p.m.  Robbery   10502 Leopard Street     1112060047

Officers responded to the Charter Bank for a bank robbery involving two suspects.  Upon their arrival, Officers contacted bank personnel who reported a Hispanic male accompanied by a Hispanic female passed one of the tellers a note demanding money.  The note stated the male was armed with a firearm.

The teller complied with the demands and the suspects fled on foot southbound towards Leopard Street taking with them an undetermined amount of money.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years of age, 5’5″ to 5’8″ feet tall, and weighing 180 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a red shirt with a bear logo on it.  No weapon was seen

The second suspect is described as a curly-haired Hispanic female, 35 to 40 years of age, 5’2″ to 5’5″ feet tall, and weighing 130 lbs.  She was last seen wearing a hooded turquoise jacket and blue jeans.
