UPDATE: MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

On January 30, 2018, Willie Greenwood (01/31/1996), was arrested by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.  Greenwood was arrested on the outstanding warrant for Murder ($750,000 Bond), along with two additional outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery (No Bond) and Failure to Appear/Assault Causes Bodily Injury, Family Member ($5,000 Bond).

Greenwood has been transported to the City Detention Center for processing and will then be transferred to the Nueces County Jail.

MURDER WARRANT ISSUED IN WEBER SHOOTING

Corpus Christi Detectives are asking for your help to locate 21-year-old Willie Greenwood (01/31/1996) who has an outstanding warrant ($750,000 Bond) for his arrest.   Greenwood is wanted for Murder. 

Greenwood is described as a 21-year-old male who stands 5 feet 07 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  Greenwood’s hair may have been altered and may appear different than it is pictured in the attached image.

The warrant stems from an incident that Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.  Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 6400 block of Weber Rd.  As officers were en route to the initial call, they were re-directed to the 6600 block of Everhart in reference to a shooting victim.   Upon arrival officers located a 20-year-old female victim with an apparent gunshot wound.  Medics arrived and transported the victim to Spohn Shoreline Hospital where she was initially listed in critical condition.  The victim has since been pronounced deceased.

Update on Recent Shootings

Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 6400 block of Weber Rd. Numerous calls were made to the police department stating that multiple shots were fired. As officers were en route to the call they were redirected to 6600 Everhart in reference to a shooting victim. Officers arrived and discovered that a 20 year old female had been shot in the head. Medics arrived and transported her to Spohn Shoreline Hospital where she is still in critical condition. Officers investigated and found that the female had been shot at 6400 Weber Rd. Officers are still investigating and are following leads in the case which include a person of interest.

Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to 300 Parr St. in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived and contacted witnesses. Officers were informed by witnesses that they heard a gunshot and observed a suspect leave the residence and head South on Parr. A witness went inside the residence and located a 20 year old male victim who was deceased from an apparent gunshot. Detectives were called to the scene to investigate. Officers received information that a suspect was seen running into a warehouse in the 200 block of N. 19th St. Officers went to the warehouse and located the suspect. Officers transported the suspect to the main police station for questioning. Officers arrested Jesse Casiano (07-05-1986) for murder and transported him to the City Detention Center.

Ortiz is described as a 27-year-old male who stands 5 feet 06 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Corpus Christi Police Detectives need your help identifying this robbery suspect. On December 29, 2017 at approximately 9:10 PM a male suspect entered the store. The employees were behind the counter when the suspect approached them with a gun and demanded money. The employees gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash who then fled the scene. The suspect was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, black gloves and a black mask.

On January 14, 2018 at 8:11 PM detectives believe the same suspect entered the store at 1600 S. Port, displayed a handgun and went behind the counter demanding money. The clerk was not able to open the cash register and the suspect left the store. Approximately 15 minutes later the same suspect entered a store on the 3700 block of Leopard. The suspect went behind the counter with his weapon and started grabbing money from the employee. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not injured.

TRAILER THEFT SUSPECTS

Location: 6000 block of Timbergate
Offense: UUMV – Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

Corpus Christi Detectives want your help to identify individuals accused of a stealing a trailer from a home located in the 6000 block of Timbergate, on January 01, 2018 at approximately 6 in the morning.

The suspect vehicle, which is described as a suv, is captured on a surveillance camera driving by the home slowly.  The surveillance footage then shows a male walk onto the driveway motioning to the driver of that same vehicle to back up to the trailer.  The suspects were able to hook up the trailer and leave the scene.

 

The first suspect is described as an adult male, wearing a light-colored hoodie and jeans.  Detectives would now like help from the public to identify and locate the suspects in this crime.

SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED

On January 11, 2018 Corpus Christi Police Officers arrested Eulalio Martinez (11/18/89) on an outstanding warrant ($100,000 Bond) for one count of Sexual Assault of a 16-year-old female.

Martinez was transported to the City Detention Center for processing.
