The pump truck slid on its side before it struck the center concrete median.  The truck came to rest between both sides of the concrete median.

Neither the cab driver, nor the 50 year old male truck driver were injured in the crash.

Both north and south lanes of Interstate 37 were completely shut down for several hours. Texas Department of Transportation personnel were able to bring out cones and directional trucks to aid with traffic control.

As a result of the freeway being closed officers worked many other crashes in that area as traffic began to build. A large crane was requested in order to try and lift the pump truck off the median.
