An 83-year-old man was robbed at knife point while at his home.  The elderly man told Police he found a Hispanic man armed with a knife in his kitchen.  The suspect held the knife to the victim’s throat and demanded his jewelry.  The suspect released the victim and fled with the victim’s jewelry valued at $1,000.  The victim was uninjured during the robbery.

The suspect is only described as a 30-year-old Hispanic man who walks the neighborhood.  Anyone with any information on this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS or submit a tip online at www.888TIPS.com. Tipsters will earn a cash reward if the suspect is identified and arrested.

Officers were called to residence for a disturbance and contacted the owner of a 5-year-old Dachshund named “Layla.”   She told Officers her ex-boyfriend Michael Franco (05/28/92) became enraged at her when she sold his pit bull to buy food for the other three dogs in her home.

Franco grabbed “Layla” and threw her against a bedroom wall.  Officers found Layla in a pool of muddy water unable to move her hind legs.

Officers arrested Franco and charged him with Cruelty of Non-Livestock Animal which is a State Jail Felony punishable by up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

A Walgreen’s pharmacy technician reported a man armed with a knife demanded two specific narcotics.  The man left when the technician informed the man the named narcotics were not kept at the store.

The suspect is described at Hispanic male, standing 5’2” to 5’5” feet tall, and weighing 150 to 165 lbs.  He was last seen wearing an off white shirt and blue jeans.

Police were called to La Palmera Mall for two women who were trying to use checks and cards at several stores with their identification.  Officers located the two women  at the Radio Shack and arrested the two women.

Serenity Lynn McCracken (09/15/77) lied about her identity and found to be wanted.  McCracken was charged with an outstanding Nueces County Burglary warrant (No Bond) and Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice.

Alicia Maria Deleon (12/05/88) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance when an assorted collection of pills were found in her possession.

AlfonsoArnulfoLongoriaPolice were dispatched to 4834 Hamlett Drive for a wanted subject at the residence. As Officers were en route they were advised that the wanted suspect Alfonso Longoria (02/20/90) had left in a black Ford Explorer.  The SUV was observed in the 2400 block of Sunnybrook and Officers attempted to pull it over.

Longoria refused to pull over and continued to the 4800 block of Ingram where he was blocked in by Officers.  He was arrested and booked at the City Detention Center.  Longoria was charged with ten outstanding warrants. He had seven outstanding Nueces County warrants and three outstanding Municipal Court warrants:

Location: Headley & Sarita

Officers were dispatched for a Major Vehicle Accident at Headley & Sarita in which the driver had fled the scene. The call had indicated that several residents of neighborhood were chasing the driver as he was running away. Officers located Jose Rodriguez 8.6.1980 in the 2400 block of Niagra. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Officers responded to the Harbor Bridge for a vehicle parked in the roadway. Officers located a 29 year old male who had climbed over the safety railing and jumped into the water. Marina Patrol had located him in the water, pulled him into their boat and began CPR. The man was transported to the Barge Dock area where Medic units with the Fire Department began treatment. He was taken to Spohn Memorial for treatment. The man’s truck was impounded.

Update: At 10:52 a.m. July 15, the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office notified us that the male had not survived his injuries.

Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Indiana for a Stabbing. Upon arrival they located the 22 year old male victim who was being treated by medical personnel.

The 22 year old male stated that he had been stabbed by a male who was accompanied by two females in a dark colored vehicle. The confrontation began over a disturbance regarding loud music being played and coming from the dark colored vehicle as it continued to drive up and down Indiana. The three individuals had left the area prior to the arrival of Officers.

Officers were able to obtain information about the vehicle and located it in the 4100 Block of Montego shortly thereafter. The three individuals were identified as Franco Bucato (12.21.1988), Araceli Medina (6.14.1996) charged with Agg. Assault w/Deadly Weapon (2F) and Cassandra Ramos (5.20.1996) charged with Agg. Assault w/Deadly Weapon and Resisting Arrest. They were taken to the City Detention Center.

The 22 year old victim was transported to Spohn Memorial for treatment of his injuries.

Units were dispatched to the 9400 blk of Morrow for a Stabbing. Upon arriving they located a 59 year old with a stab wound to the chest area. Officers determined that Mistiphone Rainwater (10.23.1971) had stabbed the 59 year old during an argument. She was arrested and taken to the City Detention Center. The 59 year old was transported to Spohn Memorial to be treated.

Officers patrolling Zahn Road at Gulf Beach observed a silver Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck driving at a high rate of speed, do a donut, and almost strike another vehicle.

Tammy Tyson (07/01/66) was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving and Driving While License Suspended/Invalid.

Police were called to the Wal-Mart for a theft in progress. Loss prevention officers reported to police a man and a woman selected several items and placed them in a shopping cart.  The twosome then removed Wal-Mart bags from the woman’s purse and began bagging the items.  The duo then exited the store taking $833 in merchandise.

Officers arrived and detained the pair outside the store.  Stephanie Soulas (02/16/92) and Edward Frank Garza (02/25/88) were both arrested and charged with Theft-Shoplifting.

Corpus Christi Police Department Robbery Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in locating Jesus Garcia (03/23/85) who is wanted for a July 1, 2013 robbery.  His bond is set at $25,000.  Garcia is accused of assaulting a 24-year-old man as he walked out of a local bar.  The victim was knocked to the ground and robbed.

A 32-year-old woman walking down Cooper’s Alley failed to give the right of way to a Toyota Camry driven by a   60-year-old woman and struck the vehicle.  The young woman sustained an injury to her ankle and taken to Spohn Memorial.  The accident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.

A 44-year-old woman was struck by a truck as she walked across the cross walk at Elgin and Guadalupe.  The woman sustained an injury to her ankle and taken to Spohn Memorial.

The driver of the truck failed to stop and render aid to the victim.  He is described as a Black male and was last seen driving a two-tone green older Chevrolet pick-up truck.  The man is known as “Black” and lives out-of-town, but often stays in the area.
