On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 8:00 PM Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department, were dispatched to the 3600 block of Mimosa Drive in reference to a fight with injuries. Officers arrived to Medics with the Corpus Christi Fire Department administering CPR to a male victim. The male was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

 Investigators with the Robbery/Homicide Division were called to the scene to investigate. Several individuals were detained at the scene and later taken to the main police station for questioning.

During the course of the investigation, Detectives were able to identify the offender and secure an arrest warrant for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On April 19, 2026, offender Justice Martinez was located and taken into custody. He was interviewed then transported to the City Detention Center.
