On Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 11:26 am, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 4300 block of Schanen Blvd. in reference to suspicious activity.  When Officers arrived, they met with the reporting party who stated that they were concerned that someone may be injuring animals.  

The reporting party then led Officers to an area where they located three deceased animals.  Corpus Christi Animal Care Services were called to the location to investigate and take possession of the animals. 

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division were also called to the scene and are actively assisting Animal Care Services in investigating this incident. 

The Corpus Christi Police Department takes all incidents involving the cruelty, harming, or mistreatment of animals very seriously.
