Case Number: 1501080006
Corpus Christi Police responded to a bar located at 1402 Rodd Field Road for a fight.

When they arrived all of the people involved were gone but officers did find a knife with blood on it. While officers were investigating, a 22 year old male victim and his brother walked up covered in blood and they both appeared to be intoxicated. The victim had a stab wound to the middle of his back. Both brothers were yelling and cursing at officers and the medics that were on the scene to assist them.

At first, the victim refused to be treated by CCFD EMS but later he agreed if his brother was allowed to go with him. Once in the ambulance both brothers became combative again and were trying to hit the medics.

The brother, Jacob Ferstl (01/08/1991), was arrested for interfering with duties of a public servant, a Class B misdemeanor and public intoxication.

The victim was handcuffed to the stretcher for the safety of the medics and transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital.

After an investigation it was determined that both brothers were involved in a disturbance with a group of other men in the bar. The disturbance moved outside as the bar was closing and it was at that time the victim was stabbed in the back by one of the other men.

The victim refused to provide officers with any information regarding the suspect who stabbed him.

While officers were investigating this call an off duty CCIA police officer came up to them and said that while he was in his apartment located at 7218 S. The off duty officer took the items over to the officers who were investigating the call in the parking lot of the bar.  While they were getting a description of the suspect, the off duty officer received a call on his cell phone from friends in his apartment saying the suspect had returned and wanted his property.

Officers went to the apartment and took Adrian Reyes (07/27/1993) into custody.

While the suspect was still trying to convince officers that the items were his, the real owner just so happen to walk by the officers and he noticed his laptop sitting on the hood of the police unit.  The laptop was verified through login to belong to the man and the Play Station belonged to him also.

Don’t Leave Your Trash Out

IMG_2448

During the holiday season many people find themselves either giving or receiving gifts, and often these gifts include televisions, gaming consoles, laptops or other large items.

These gifts often come with large cardboard boxes and when left curbside for trash pickup, it can let a lurking person know what’s inside your house.

The Corpus Christi Police Department and the City of Corpus Christi Solid Waste Services wants to remind citizens to take the large boxes to one of the recycle drop off points located throughout our city. We want to encourage members of the community to use these drop off locations as an alternative to leaving the cardboard boxes curbside.

The locations of the drop off points are as follows:

J.C. Elliott Transfer Station
7001 Ayers Street

H-E-B Parking Lot
Leopard Street and Violet Road

H-E-B Parking Lot
Alameda Street and Glazebrook Street

Fellowship of Oso Creek Church
7402 Yorktown Boulevard

Hours at these locations are

8 AM to 5 PM
both Friday, December 26 and Saturday, December 27.
