A 49 year old female called Corpus Christi Police after her boyfriend came home from a bar, after watching a football game, and assaulted her.

By the time Officers arrived, the boyfriend had left.  The female told Officers that after her boyfriend came home from the bar, he began to argue with her. He grabbed her and pushed her into a wall inside their apartment, located in the 600 block of Naval Air Station Drive.

He then picked up a metal baseball bat and hit her in the stomach area and then stomped on her chest. The female believed that her ribs were broken during the assault. She was transported to Bay Area Hospital by CCFD EMS.

About an hour later, Officers did find the boyfriend back at the apartment. The boyfriend, Charles Krueger (06/20/1968), was arrested for aggravated assault.

Patrol Report 09/25/2015

An alert female sitting in her car, in the parking lot of the Del Mar College Economic Center, located at 3209 South Staples Street, noticed a male suspect walking around trying to open car doors.

When she saw the suspect open the door of a parked 2006 Chevrolet truck and remove a backpack from inside, she called Corpus Christi Police.

The witness followed the suspect, at a safe distance, as he began walking away from the area. She was able to direct Officers to the suspect as he attempted to enter a barber shop in the 2900 block of Norton Street.

Officers found the suspect inside along with the stolen backpack. Officers arrested the man, Paul Gonzalez (10/03/1975), for burglary and the property was returned to the victim.

A Corpus Christi Police Officer responding to the report of street racing occurring at the Barge Dock, in the 1600 block of Shoreline Boulevard, arrested a man for reckless driving.

The Officer was observing the area from a distance when he saw a 2003 Chrysler PT cruiser in the dock area began to rev up its engine and then saw him take off at a high rate of speed spinning its tires. The driver had no regard for people fishing on the dock, or the pedestrians walking in the area.

The driver, Christian Arriola (03/30/1998), was arrested for reckless driving and his car was impounded.

Offense: Possession of Marijuana

A Corpus Christi Police Officer on a traffic stop in the 800 block of Harmon Street found two females in possession of marijuana.

The Officer had stopped the 2000 Buick sedan after the driver failed to use a signal to make a turn. When the Officer determined that no one in the vehicle had a driver’s license and there was no insurance on the car he decided to impound it.

Once the female passenger, Brandy Deleon (11/29/1991), was outside the car, the Officer noticed that she had a large bulge in her front waistband.  Once the package was removed, 17 individual bags of marijuana, weighing 4.3 ounces, was found.

The driver of the vehicle, Stephanie Lemos (12/20/1983), was also found to be in possession of 1 bag of marijuana.

The passenger was charged with possession of marijuana, a state jail felony.

The driver was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.

Man Attempts To Pass Fake Bills

Corpus Christi Police Detectives have released camera surveillance images of a man they believe attempted to pass counterfeit money at a store, located at 6901 South Padre Island Drive, back on May 15.

The male suspect walked into the Stripes Store and gave the clerk a counterfeit $50 bill, in exchange for change.  The suspect then gave the clerk another fake $50 bill and three counterfeit $20 bills to purchase a money order for $110.00.  The clerk then realized that the money was counterfeit and confronted the suspect and he left the store.

The heavy set black male suspect with a bald head was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and light colored long shorts.

The suspect in this case has not been identified, and detectives need you help in solving this crime.

Offense: Driving While Intoxicated

Corpus Christi Police are investigating a crash involving an intoxicated driver in the 8100 block of Holly Road.

Officers arrived and the crash investigation revealed that a female was driving her 2015 Ford Taurus sedan east on Holly Road when she failed to stop at an intersection and drove into a parking lot striking a parked 2012 Jeep with two occupants inside. No one in the parked car was injured.

After an investigation, the driver of the Ford, Jessica Marie Razzo (08/19/1976), was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.

The manager of a business called Corpus Christi Police after he was driving down Leopard Street and saw one of his company trucks pulling into the parking lot of a motel on Leopard Street.

Officers responded and found the suspect who had been driving the truck, Geary Luster (11/07/1963).   After some investigation, Officers determined that the suspect got inside a fenced in parking lot of a business located at 401 Navigation Boulevard.

Once inside, he burglarized another company truck. All the stolen equipment from that truck was put into a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado company truck that he then stole.

The suspect then drove the stolen truck through the chain link fence.  The suspect also lied to Officers about his name when asked.

The suspect was charged with burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He was additionally charged with giving a false name and having an outstanding parole violation warrant.

All of the stolen property was returned to the business manager.

Corpus Christi Police responded to an unconscious baby, not breathing, at an apartment located in the 6600 block of South Staples Street.

When Officers arrived they found a 23 month old female on a bedroom floor being treated by CCFD EMS. Inside the apartment, Officers spoke to two females who told them that they were in the process of adopting the child out of foster care.

They said that they put the child to bed and woke up to find her in her crib, not breathing.

The child was transported to Spohn South Hospital by CCFD EMS and pronounced dead.

At this time, Officers are still investigating this case.

A 41 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after he was assaulted and his groceries were stolen.

The victim told Officers that he left the HEB, located in the 3100 block of South Alameda Street, and was walking on Reid Street behind the store, when he was approached by a black male suspect.

The victim told Officers that he has seen the suspect in the area around the store before asking people for money.

The victim said that the man told him to give him the groceries he was carrying. When the victim refused, the suspect punched him in the head.

The victim was not seriously inured.

The value of the groceries was estimated to be $35.

A 45 year old man was unloading items from his vehicle when a passing car struck him and his truck in the 100 block of Southern Street.

A female was driving her 2015 Nissan Altima sedan on Southern Street when she veered off the roadway and struck the parked 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck and its owner.

After the crash, the female driver, left her car at the scene, and walked away on foot.

Officers located the female, Jennifer Piwetz (10/05/1976), just down the street and took her into custody. She was not injured, but the man that was struck, did suffer a cut to his head and he was transported by CCFD EMS to Spohn Memorial Hospital.

After an investigation, it was determined that the female was intoxicated, and she was arrested.

A female who reported her trailer stolen back on August 25, saw it being pulled down Flour Bluff Drive by a truck and called Corpus Christi Police.  Officers were able to catch up to the 2009 Dodge Ram truck that was pulling the stolen trailer in the 900 block of Green Bay Street. The driver of the truck, Todd Janes (05/01/1968), was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and he was additionally charged when it was determined that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for parole violation regarding a theft charge. The stolen trailer was released to its owner.

A 32 year old female had to run out of her home, located in the 2200 block of Loritte Drive, to escape her boyfriend who was armed with a box cutter and was cutting chunks of her hair off her head. The female ran into the street to escape the assault that had begun inside the home and she was able to call Corpus Christi Police. The female told Officers that the two had gotten into an argument and her boyfriend pulled a box cutter blade out and began grabbing her hair and cutting chucks out of it. The female was able to get out of the house, and run down the road. The male chased after her and caught her and began cutting her hair again. Officers arrived and arrested the boyfriend, Raul Rios (06/17/1969), for aggravated assault.  The female refused ant medical treatment and did not appear to be injured.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a report of a female walking near the T.C. Ayers Center in the 1700 block of Winnebago Street bleeding from her head.

Officers located the 30 year old female and observed her to have several stab wounds to her head, face and arms. All the victim would tell Officers is that a black female stabbed her, but would not say why or exactly where it happened.

Officers were able to locate the crime scene in the 900 block of Sam Rankin Street.

The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The victim refused to answer Officers questions regarding the assault.

A 24 year old man called Corpus Christi Police after his ex-girlfriend attacked him with a baseball bat.

The victim told Officers that his ex-girlfriend was drinking alcohol and was intoxicated while both of them were in the front yard of a home located in the 400 block of Mediterranean Drive.

The victim said that she was trying to show off in front of other friends by talking down to the victim. She also spit on him. She then went inside the home, and grabbed an aluminum bat and struck the victim on the head. The female then got in a car and left.

The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS to be treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening.

Officers know the female suspects name, but she was not located.
